The Bible speaks of Homosexuality however as the author of Making of Sense the Bible amazon.com/Making-Sense-Bible-Rediscove... Homosexuality in the Bible is mostly discussed in the context of Temple Prostitution and Rape.. Most of them were not aware of loving homosexual relationships anymore then they were aware of democracy.

We have discussed LGBT rights quite often in this website, and if you explore you will find that most members are quite supportive.

On the topic of the Bible and religion, then you are getting into highly emotional topics, especially for the atheists who have a problem with the religious folks pushing their views into government policies and legislation. I won't go there, but you can do a keyword search in the browser above if you would like to browse some of those forum threads further...and perhaps reactive them.

While you will find varying degrees of views on the separation of church and state, I for one do not mind engaging with religious folks as long as they have open minds. I do not demonize their beliefs as my own dear mother was deeply religious while my father was an atheist. What I learned from both of them is tolerance.

I do explore both the Bible and the Qur'an/Hadith to better understand the deep passions of those so motivated to push their religious views into the political arena. Republicans, especially, are pretty adept at playing the "God card", especially around election time as the Evangelical Christians are a formidable part of their base.

Most of the time when we discuss religion on this website, people talk past each other. Just forewarning you from someone who has engaged in these discussions many times, but lately just shying away from the topic entirely.

    I do not quite agree.

The Temple priests wanted to promote man on woman sex because the male farm hands were pain by the King who also owned the Temple and he paid his workers a coin per bushel, --- that is why we call money bread, --- and the King wanted to insure that his coin was returned to him via a Temple Prostitute.

All non-Roman temples might have also wanted to stick it to Rome as Rome promoted love between men over love between a man and what women were mostly thought of, as chattel. Rome did not promote the love of chattel but did promote male bonding as the greatest love.

Today, any who are anti-gay and or homophobic and misogynous, most in the mainstream religions, should seek help.

Jesus would be quite appalled at their anti-love position.

Suggesting the obvious. Stop replying to these "religious related topics". If poster wants to drive between the lines we can consider it then. He's free to start a new thread that's appropriate. Give this no more attention.

Yes T.J I won't; discussing Trump is bad enough, let alone something which concerns fantasy only.

The tooth fairy just visited my granddaughter a few days ago. Where exactly does the tooth (and other fairys) come from? To stay on track here does Trumpie believe in faries? He is a good, no sorry, biggly Christian which leads to the obvious question "Is the tooth fairy blessed by God, Jesus, Belzebub or some other holy entity"?

These are serious question, a 7 year old asks, that deserve serious answers!
