If I believed in God, I would be thanking him (or her) for giving the Democrats the gift of a lifetime. This campaign is over before it's even started and the next question is how badly he will screw over the Republican Party down ticket. I have a feeling this year is going to be a bloodbath for Republicans and that they won't be able to recover from this mess that they've gotten themselves in for many years. American politics has swung like a pendulum throughout our history. The Republicans have had their fun since the Reagan revolution, but the Republicans dealt the final death knell to that revolution last night. I raise my glass to their self imposed destruction. Jared; how did Hitler get into power? Read "Mein Kampf"

If nothing else gets passed in Congress, at least the Republicans will have to eventually act on one or more SCOTUS nominations. Schmidt, indeed everything here is politicized. The whole government system here needs to be reviewed related to efficiency as well if certain departments are only just "employment" set ups. Let's buy some more parts for WWII planes. Sorry our government is "broken" and just one big "waste" bucket. We don't need a SCOTUS in the present form; just common sense should rule , not tons of paper explaining what they did in 1776. Simplification and "need" should be the goal not adding department after department and let it grow to powerblocks like the Pentagon, CIA, FBI, NSA, TSA etc. As an example; my wife travels to Europe; she pays for a "one" way ticket to there about 35% TSA/tax cost. The return ticket however has more than 65% TSA/tax cost. Thus who is the rip off country? The TSA makes fortunes on international traffic, while they reduce the number of employees; thus another hidden goldmine for the government, which they will certainly waste on a "no return" benefit to the public. In the meantime my wife is waiting for the renewal of her "green card" already for a year while she paid already $450.- for it a year ago. The government agent just says; they throw it on the stack of all applications including "new" applicants. Talking about efficiency. But yeah no one blinks if they acquire an Plane of $200 million a piece which ends up costing $400 million a piece and still does not work as specified. Sorry this whole government is a total joke, including Trump. We are the laughing stock of the world. WE need a revolution as Bernie said.
