Does anyone out there in Americaland find it odd that not one Presidential Candidate has been asked the most important question of all?! "Do you support spending trillions on insane, endless religious wars in 5 countries?"
I know why that question is never asked and it is because of those billions in war profits each year and the Robber Barons/Global Corporations who own America's mass media also own and profit from the Military Industrial Complex.
That question is literally asked all the time, but not in the way that makes you happy.
Moderators to national debates can not ask such blatantly one sided questions so they ask a candidate what they would do when it comes to the military. You may not like their answers, but you are living in a fantasy world if you honestly think that any moderator would ever ask that question verbatim.

There are multiple classifications of secrecy. There are top secret communications that have a prefix instructing special handling or contacting special people before the body of the message is opened. Placing such importance makes me wonder if there are conditions that we have no idea about. Information that might portray conditions and required actions in a different perspective. Hard to speculate on unknown variables.
Although I find your question very pertinent, in reality about the only thing it would do is cause a vast majority of politicians go into a series of song and dance routines. That's fine if you enjoy that sort of thing, but we wouldn't get a straight answer. Dwight Eisenhower, a Republican by the way and one of our greatest generals, warned us about the Military Industrial Complex. Even with his credentials he was ignored.
Your question is like asking a politician about what causes Congressional gridlock. They all go through a elaborate song and dance, but no one will admit that it is because most of them are worried about losing campaign funding if they try to compromise on an issue.
