Sanders is not supplying money for downstream races, he is supplying hope and motivation. Works for him. Krugman is advocating process over policy. There has been enough process, now is the time for action for new policy.

Here is a link to a great interview with Thomas Frank where he outlines pretty much what's wrong with the Dems today.

The first thing I saw in the link: "The one-time party of the working class has been co-opted by a hyper-educated elite, he argues in his just-published Listen Liberal."

I believe when good economic conditions hit the country we forgot our roots. We became the party of wine and cheese issues. Dropped our guard and took credit for our good fortune. The "Nouveau Riche" Democratic Party started taking everything in consideration except what we stood for. Took the benefit of our good fortune and spent it lavishlly. Forgetting our roots. I remember very vividly and all too well my attitude of conquerer. I was at a coal mine talking to the superintendent about the union position of cleaning up acid rain coming from power company smoke stacks. The super said " if the union doesn't stop the company will shut the ****ing mines down". I replied "shut the ****ing mines down". That was typical of the new liberal telling people how to live instead of helping them to live. Liberals became elitist shunning the poor for new ideals. That is what the Democratic Party is today. Rubbing shoulders with the real elite shunning our left behind brothers and sisters. Now every time I bring up something that unfairly hurts the poor I am told "they'll adjust". As a footnote the battle for the new clean air bill that was fortified with acid rain has a mean reality lesson. Right before the 11 billion dollar 1990 clean air bill passed a 500 million dollar 10 year government funded study about acid rain and freshwater lakes came out. It established the source of fresh water lake acid rain pollution primarily coming from the decaying vegetation around the lakes. You can convince yourself to believe more on motivation than objective evidence. I'll provide a link to the study contradicting the smokestack acid rain relationship. The scientist doing the study was totally discredited and shunned. His name was Krug. See Epa vs Ed Krug . employees.oneonta.edu/blechmjb/jbpages/...m

The greatest testimony to Frank lies in Bill and Hillary scrapping welfare pushing hundreds of thousands of children into poverty. Making them victims of the Clintons' climb to greatness.
