Of course certain Presidential candidates opened their mouth after the Brussels happening to hope to gain in the polls.

The worst one was of course from Trump who again reiterated the "waterboarding and torture" he would do. Kind of weird that the "evilgelicals" vote for this guy, I doubt if Jesus would approve such. My comment on anyone like that is: sure lets lower ourselves to the same level as ISIS ; civilized countries don't do that. But if this country wants to lower itself to a barbaric status like we did with Abu Graibe and our previous treatment of prisoners, then that is what we deserve, due to not understanding that all the people we kill, either by invading their countries or throwing bombs or using drones, there always will be revenge for our actions worldwide; our politicians totally forget that, with the exception of Bernie. The revenge will only increase the more we go in against what the rest of the world does. Like Bernie says why remove dictators; the only thing you get is total chaos afterwards which will bite us in the butt. Sorry to say I'm extremely disappointed in this country, which uses the word "peace" the wrong way. What is happening in Belgium is partly our fault by dragging in NATO into a US middle east foreign policy which has never worked since the Shah. Sorry the US has a total wrong approach and vision to the rest of the world, like Bernie says we should stop being the policeman for the world. If we look at Cruz; he wants to expand the military; thus follow a Hitler army program; exactly the opposite of Bernie's views. So if Bernie does not make it to become President, expect more and more "revenge attacks" if we continue on the present path, or even worse if a GOP candidate wins. At present instead of creating less and less terrorists, we create only more and more by our actions. What would you do if a bomb from a foreign country hits your house and destroys your family??????? Think for a change America.! Bombs and waterboarding/torture are never the solution.

Dutch, Politically correct means adhering to some sort of decency standard. Trump opened the door to expressions and attitude that had violated those standards. He opened the door to mob rule. Considering the roots of evangelicals as related to beyond comprehension of the capacity for cruel and inhumane. There were the crusades, inquisitions, witch trials to name a few. In the name of God, Allah, Jehovah et al, all things are possible and encouraged. Remember when Trump mocked the disabled reporter. It is not a far stretch for the "saved" to view disabilities as punishment from God. Especially in a society that rewards appearance and mobility.

But...something has to be done. I think the disaster in Kosovo in the early '90s was the root beginning of this radical jihadist movement. The West really does need a serious plan to deal with this.

Yes Chet; through the centuries "religion" has killed plenty of people; right now I say again: Religion is the curse of humanity.

I saw on the news today that Trump's comments about Brussels were being used in propaganda films by ISIS. Even though is not an elected official (and never has been) he is the greatest single threat to American security.

The net gain with Trump is less than zero. His style which I don't think will change is to appear unlimited. It puts his adversaries in a defensive posture because he has already promised the extremes. It may work for him in the business world because he is facing people that share the same goals so they may concede and settle for a little less avoiding the hassle. Not so in foreign diplomacy. He may be dealing with people that want nothing or nothing to do with him and now they know his position. He has given them motive for no reason.

Guy, yes we are the laughing stock of the world; Trump wants to built a huge army, like Hitler did. My idea is that huge army's are a thing of the past; right now it is a fight against "fanatics", which you only can do with specialized small infiltration groups; not huge army's. But now comes the next question: Let's say we eradicate ISIS in Iraq and Syria; what then? What "groups" will rise from the ruins? Another "dictator"? or even a more fanatic group than ISIS? What are we going to do with all the other "fanatic's" all over the globe? This will keep us busy until "doomsday" So when are we finally going to take care of our own people for change? What are we going to do with all the fanatics in this country? But yeah, Jesus will help, so no problem.
