Unchallenged as the worst financial law and prime reason for the 2008 disaster. Why is there no movement to repeal the law? Hillary accused Bernie of voting for it. Her husband signed it into law . Who is protecting this law? Is it because the CMFA is the best money maker ever ? That might create support and protection for the law.

Margin requirements even for paper traders (those who have no intention of taking delivery) are typically between 5% and 20%. The margin money isn't even a down payment on the contract. It's simply a "good faith" payment. Try doing that on your next stock or fund buy.

Defenders of status quo defend by professing incrementalism. There was no incrementalism passing the CFMA. They asked for the moon and got it. Incrementalism is apparently inversely means tested.

NINJA financing. One major player default and the entire world will suffer. And one major player will default in the invisible unregulated trading.
