In this nutty country the Government asked Apple to help to unlock the encrypted I-Phone as found related to the two ISIS terrorist in San Bernardino. Apple has refused such and all cell phone producers joined Apple in their refusal. Indeed Apple is correct; they are a manufacturer who provides what they provide, i.e. they did not install the encrypted data. It is the Governments problem; anyway who cares what was on that phone; a recipe for cous-cous? Don't forget that since this attack thousands of people got killed by local criminals; so the 14 don't really count; so why the hype? Nuts. In the meantime Trump opened his big mouth and demanded that Apple should comply with the governments request. If I was Apple I would move their total operation to China; bye, bye, ridiculous Government, who is so obsessed with "terrorists" which they created themselves by throwing bombs and creating wars all over the world, which automatically creates in turn "revenge".

I advertise and sell and buy online. I get bombarded by schemes as much as legitimate inquiries. Here is a typical scheme: "Okay good....I'm buying & will pay you a cashiers check.. i"ll wait till check clears at your bank before pick up is done" What they do is send a check in excess of the purchase price and ask for the difference. The big problem is this is ongoing. This is one of the phone numbers 540-212-9422. This number has been reported many times and it still sends the same scam. If the government wants to investigate cell phones then they should start here. No telling how many people have been scammed.

In these days of hackers hacking into everything, Apple is getting some wonderful publicity if the FBI cannot hack into their phones. They will ride this horse as far as they can. It's good for business.

Of course certain figures like Bill Gates jumped on it; this filthy rich hypocrite of course nailed Apple, so he could advance Microsoft sales and stock over the "bones" of Apple. That is how it works in this country; kill each other off, also in politics.

I agree, that is a pretty decent power play on their part. I'm sure it is just a matter of time until the FBI cracks into the phones, if they can't already.

This whole thing is kind of silly; don't you think ISIS sees the news here and laughs like hell and cover their tracks; so there will be nothing of value on the recovered phone. It is pure a "power" play , to show who's the boss, nothing else.

They will be getting plenty more publicity now that a Federal magistrate has denied the Governments request to force Apple to help out law enforcement.
