Well it looks like Trump will be true to his word in boycotting the Fox News debate tonight, ostensibly because of his treatment by Megan Kelly at the first Fox News debate. Is that it? Or this is more about Trump as the front runner not needing this debate...or any more debates for that matter? He fares much better having Katie Tur and MSNBC follow him around and bust in live to their programming with every utterance...my cynicism showing. I am sick of seeing Donald Trump on MSNBC. I switch to CNN and it's more Donald Trump.

I have the TV tuned to MSNBC. Trump has arrived in Des Moines for his alternate function. The cameras are focused on Trump's plane. We are all waiting in suspense to see Trump walk down the steps from his plane. Wow. Exciting times.

Bring the barf bucket!! This guy is not suited for President but suited for the loony farm; a character like that is only "ego" driven but has no interest in the country except himself.

He invited another 'loony" that is Jerry Falwell the idiot preacher selling fake snake oil. what a combination.

Sorry as I said if this total idiot gets elected, I'm out of here.

I passed on the Republican debate to watch the theatrics of Trump's Veterans function. I did this more out of curiosity about how the "Trump theater" would be staged. Sure enough as the MSNBC cameras were focused on the stage, while Rachel Maddow was talking on a second screen, we could watch a person every now and then emerge from behind the curtain and walk across the stage as the crowd got excited. Then after a while he walked back and the crowd got excited again. Then someone peaked from behind the curtain and that got the crowd murmuring again. Finally after 15 minutes of teasing, Donald Trump emerged to a cheering audience. Trump then gave the umpteenth retake of his stump speech, and Rachel Maddow finally had enough and cut away.

I would be curious how the ratings went for Fox News versus MSNBC during the simultaneous events. That's what it is all about.

Dutch, He has no interest is prominently displayed by two things. He wants to bring jobs back and he wants wages to stay low. If he was interested in the country and its people he would talk about putting money into the system. Instead of taking jobs away from other poor people he should create new jobs here. And he can't create new jobs unless he gets money into the system, He brags about not owing allegiance to anybody but he is trying to make a billionaire pesident.

I'm not sure about the ratings for MSNBC, but it looks like this was the lowest rated Republican debate thus far. It really goes to show that the Republican primary has turned into an actual circus.

Wow Jared; it has been a circus from the start; at least in a circus they are qualified to perform their acts, but not in this circus; call the ambulance please.

Trump has become his own reality show, a skillfully crafted show featuring "politically incorrectness" and designed to appeal to a certain segment of Americans who just do not like "the other." The sensationalism of his pronouncements and attacks on just about anyone also has high appeal to the media, who follow him around like he is the Pope. It is a case study in human psychology, but it is also a dangerous game that he is playing tapping into our "dark sides" for political gain. While the country was already divided before Trump came along, Trump is putting salt on the wounds by using fear and hate of "the other" to energize an otherwise base of ignorant bigots and malcontents.

In a sense, the Republicans establishment is experiencing "blowback" from a culture of distrust, fear, anger and hate that they have deliberately created for their own political gain.

Trump knows how and when to play his "Trump card". Dropping out of the Fox News debate is just one example.
