I liked the "show", however there was lacking "reality", here are some of the items I have a problem with.

    1) Gun control; I mentioned quite a few times, if the "nutty" one's are not allowed to have guns who dares to take their hoarded guns away? Yes, you can stop selling to hem, but what about what they already own?

    2) ISIS; sure everyone says we will eradicate them; thinking about reality, ISIS and others are spreading like crazy around the world; are we going to chase them also in Indonesia etc.? At what cost?

3)Bernie is going to battle Wall Street; how is he going to do that? Forgetting "money" talks and is used for "bribes"and corruption etc. This remains an "capitalistic" country.

    4) After they "defeat" ISIS, are they "running" away from a "flattened" area like Iraq and Syria, so a "new" dictatorship or "rebel" groups could start up. What about all the "refugee's" do they want to return to their "flattened" house? I doubt it.

    5) Election reform; Wow, the 1% will always find ways to get influence on it, regardless of "changes" ; certainly the GOP will never approve a "no money" involvement in the process.

    6) Healthcare; the same story; it is run by "money"; doctors can keep prescribing un-needed pills or treatments; the pharma industry can still price their goods as they wish; how is anyone going to check what a certain pill cost to develop?, if you are not an expert in that field. The government can not afford a whole "bunch" of healthcare "policemen" either.

) Taxes on the rich. Sorry, the rich got rich because they can afford the best lawyers and are champions in hiding their wealth in either real estate or other investments. Ask Romney where he has his money; like in non taxable funds for his kids and parked in the Caymans All our politicians make sure of themselves (including the Clintons) that their money keeps making money and is safe from the tax man..

So this whole "discussion" proves that the candidates are missing any "reality" ; typical no one here ever thinks about consequences of any proposal or action. Our wars prove that as well.

Dutch, The most brilliant move of the ultra powerful was to convince people that they control their destiny. That absolved the .001 from ever having any social responsibility. But the masses even carried it beyond the dreams of the ultra powerful. The masses shame their own kids with : you will end up pushing burgers or you'll end up in working in Walmart. The ultras removed all objectivity. People teach kids not to talk to strangers and then in the same breath they send kids out to try and get money from strangers for all kinds of school fund raising projects. Tell kids not to interact with strangers but then think how cute it is when kids to get strangers to buy from their lemonaid stands. What government agency other than defense benefits citizenry. I especially think the department of labor is a sham. The most significant pro active service they provide is to force striking workers back to work.

Thanks Chet; sure there is a lot of bureaucracy in this country; there was a program on TV about an doctor who prescribed chemo therapy for people who did not have cancer; he billed the insurances for millions. Finally someone reported his crimes, but the government did not take action until a year later when someone else reported it again. In the end the doctor got convicted but of course did not get the punishment what he should have gotten (pay off?). That is how it works here. Often they "engineer" laws but seldom put any proper structure in place to "control" it; and if they actually control it, often by not qualified people etc. Look for instance on the 9/11 thing; they cut corners on building these buildings, so they collapsed, but the builders never got jail time. So the total blame ended up at the terrorists. Typical.

Dutch -- Yes all very good points. You mention that candidates don't think ahead of the consequences of their proposed actions with respect to military actions. True. But actually it is simpler than that. They have not articulated how they are going to "compromise" with a Republican controlled Congress to get anything passed. Dems may reduce the Republican control of the Senate and House, but unless they have a solid majority in the House and a 60 vote veto proof majority in the Senate, any Democratic Party president's agenda, either Sanders or Clinton, will be sabotaged by the Republicans. They did it to Obama and they'll do it to both Sanders and Clinton. And then they'll come up with some slogans on why the Democratic Party president is so ineffective.

Yes Schmidt as always you are right; as long as the rich get richer and more "evangelical" then the polarization will only get bigger. I guess it is all "gods will" . My guess is the whole house of cards will tumble down sometime in the future. Sorry but I not only mentioned the " military" but also all their other "dream" programs, like healthcare for everyone, tackling the rich, Wall Street control etc.
