We do not need to channel search far to get the mindless rhetoric funneling through our media. It is attaching to our neural networks and causing confusion and ill mannered responses to what could be a great discussion on humanitarian improvements. Our political candidates, news reporters and the insatiable fellowship of those that spew off mindless rhetoric are all bent on promoting a social disease attacking each other. Even this HUB of Posting, we read each others exhibits in thought and ridicule thinking it is a debate, but it is actually just name calling and non-regulated criticism. If only one would read with the process of finding why one says what they provide, these people would determine the trash from the reality of the fact.

The people that spout off on the press about building barrier walls, immigrant ID's, denying immigrants and promoting fear, are playing the music that illiterate people absorb. Yes, there are dangers in the world. Yes, there are threats against America. Yes, there are potential outcomes of any attack on America. Yes, there are perceivable responses that America will take to preserve the security of this nation. As for the Constitution protecting our rights and privileges as citizens of America, these MAY be temporarily suspended. As our Constitution declares Protecting Our Rights and Privileges, how far do you think our government and authorities will allow acts of terrorism and criminal behavior to threaten our Rights and Privileges? How far will the Constitution enable criminals to do what they can hiding from the suspicion of law enforcement? How far will the Constitution continue to allow acts of criminal behavior threaten our beloved country? These are issues I realize from watching the recent news in France, Belgium, and Mali as compared how America reacted immediately after 9/11. Don't you think that authorities have asked the very same questions on how they can conduct preserving the Protections in America as they may get around the Constitution? I see this happening as more terrorism effects Nations and whenever it may happen again in America.

The mindless rhetoric that is in a public feeding frenzy at the moment, especially on the news media reporting of the political stupor. But you have to get past the mindless rhetoric and THINK about the possibilities in reality and what would be more effective in countering the threats to our Nation. One, The world is under threat of ISIS/Terrorism. Two, America has been identified as a target to an attack by ISIS/Terrorism. Three, ISIS is NOT Muslim, but criminals in their acts against humanity. Four, America is plagued with a variety of criminal acts by organized groups. Five, America has to make vital and hard decisions to counter any threat to the Nation (including suspending any Constitutional rule that may deny authorizing law enforcement). The mindless rhetoric that is going on will continue and will no doubt succeed in suspending the Constitution and Martial Law shall be declared. It's all about what you are willing to give up in order to maintain the preservation of our Nation.

    God Bess America!

AMC, guess what; we are the cause of all of this including what is happening here at home with our fantastic gun laws and discrimination. Your denial that no one outside this "island" hates us is called naïve. Guess who invaded and kill people all over the place and still keep doing that in all kind of countries who never did us harm or touched your lifestyle. So look at it from an "outside" instead of an US perspective only. Yes there are plenty of criminals worldwide, who learned a lot from us and our movies/culture on how to be corrupt as well on how to kill ; we export criminality by our corruption and greed throughout the world. Guess who produces the most war and killing movies and "imports" the most drugs and export the most guns and war tools?? Even little kids love toy guns; or use the real one's to kill their little sister, how come? Add religion to the brew then success is ensured.

Sorry you still live in a "sweet la la country" where we all are the so nice and religious and won't harm even a little mouse. Where is the barf bucket?

AMC, sorry, that is not America. Never was, never will be. What makes America is the constitution and the rule of law. That you would blithely cast aside the only thing that stands in the breach between you and tyranny all because you are knocking-knees afraid is a sad commentary. You have thumped your chest and flag-waved over the U.S. Military and yet that same military which takes an oath to protect the constitution suddenly can't protect us. Then you have bleated about crime when shown that crime is declining and has been.

build yourself a bomb shelter, stock it with food, water and waste disposal and lock yourself in. You are too damn scared of your own shadow to live in the world.

Btw, who gets to decide how much of the constitution gets suspended and for how long? Read the Declaration of Independence for a little clue regarding tyranny. And when those in charge decide to keep the constitution suspended for certain groups of people that others deem "criminal" then what? And when those in charge expand what is criminal or engage in what the powers that be did in the Soviet Union with the so-called article 37 charges then what? We interned Americans of Japanese descent on the pacific coast during ww2 and it was a low point in American history.

as noted before I will stand opposite you and anyone else that proposes to suspend all or any part of the constitution.

If everybody would inform law enforcement of crimes they witness than maybe America has a chance. However, few inform the police so, police have to initiate forensics and investigations that are handicapped by having to prove intention prior to a legal authority authorizing a warrant. Is this the way to fight crime? It's not efficient and its criminals to get away with their crimes and potentially never be apprehended. So, how many must die and how much tragedy is enough before America gives full support to their police, law enforcement and government agencies seeking to solve criminal acts? How much does ISIS or some terrorist group impact America before we enable forces to immediately attack them on our homeland? Bottom-line.............there will come a time when changes shall be made to our Constitution. It's all in how much pain you endure before you support the fact we must release the dogs in order to preserve our nation. As history is made daily now proving you can realize the effectiveness of groups with attack agendas are emerging faster and who are getting more bold and intelligent in their methods. Oh!.....I may add...........I personally don't like what is coming and the thought of having to suspend the Constitution, but I can visualize a storm is brewing. I hope and pray America is ready, which I feel we are and its all about timing and our response to terror.

    God Bless America!

pack up your paranoia. there is no storm brewing. isil, while engaging in asymmetric warfare cannot destroy the united states. hell, they can't even destroy syria or iraq. this is the danger of the fictional gwot, global war on terror. you cannot engage in a war against an emotion nor against a violent political act. that there must be action against such a group is obvious, imo, on its face. how that action should proceed and who should be involved are the questions.

as for changing the constitution, i agree. thankfully it won't be you involved as we have no need for a police state. and as for people informing on each other take a look at the ghettoes of america. people crammed into small physical and social space, little to no opportunity for advancement, tantalized by the so-called american dream and then treated as though criminal by the circumstances in which they live results in a community that does not trust authority.

Lonely, don't worry; ISIS won't destroy us; it will be people like AMC who will destroy our freedoms, as well as our trillions lost in wasted wars, because of our arrogance/fake patriotism that we can rule the world; it will be the fall of the Roman Empire all over again. During all of history "guns/wars and religion" always was the cause of ending Empires.
