Huffington Post, October 21, 2015: Joe Biden Is Not Running For President In 2016

"Vice President Joe Biden said he will not run for president in 2016. Biden announced his decision in a statement given from the White House Rose Garden on Wednesday.

"Unfortunately, I believe we're out of time, the time necessary to mount a winning campaign for the nomination," Biden said. "While I will not be a candidate, I will not be silent."

He urged the Democratic candidates to run on President Barack Obama's accomplishments."This party, our nation, will be making a tragic mistake if we walk away or attempt to undo the Obama legacy," he said."

I think Joe Biden made the right decision. The time has passed for him to make a competitive run for the nomination. I will always appreciate Joe Biden as being one of the best vice presidents in history. His legacy is intact. He would have made an excellent president.

I wish he would have run, but I totally understand why he decided against it. He was a great Vice President and would have been a great President, but if your heart isn't in it 100 percent then there is no point in running.

I expected this. He'll be remembered as being a good man who at times did good things. The whole VP issue is like any other. He's so good because 99% of the time you didn't know that he was there. I think there will be very little in the "I helped the country" basket. No need to go through the whole process again. He's got a great pension. I hope he goes fishing with his children and/or grand children and enjoys some comfortable times.

Joe did the right thing by bowing out of a very demeaning race for him if he had to counter his past history. Biden has many skeletons and just yesterday where he said he approved of going after Bin Laden.........what a lie. Biden gave Obama a no support on sending in special troops to get Bin Laden. Biden has a history of going against the main stream of Democracy, including Supreme Court advances for women. Remember the Justice that sexual harassed the intern, who later became a high ranking administration lead and now a professor in politics at a plush University? Biden sided with the Justice. Check out Biden's history, he has many questionable acts. Although, I know Biden has issues, I often agreed with his positions working with Obama. Maybe Biden just didn't have the Democrat agenda at heart. If Biden was in the race, I think GOP candidates were licking their chops for the attack.

Yes he did the right thing; his family is more important than fighting each day with power blocks and generals. I sure never would want such job. Only good for "ego" trippers

Oh please! Biden represents the worst of the worst Democrats. Thanks to him and his laying down and rolling over for the credit card companies many, many people have had their lives destroyed. He has a horrible record in just about everything he has ever voted for. He supports Wall St, big banks and is a war monger. He might have been a wonderful VP but just what does a VP have to do other than glad hand the electorate, support the President, and smile a lot? Nothing!

The country is better off for sure with him out of the picture.

Yes; I still don't know what he did ; mumbling a bit and sleeping on a sofa in the Oval room and nodding in his sleep; Obama told him to take care of gun control; likely he went back to sleep on that one and got a honorable plaque from the NRA. The only time I've seen him active was when the Pope was around ; yes he's better suited to for that.
