Jared, I'm extremely disappointed in the very low activity on the site; I looked at some other sites who are very busy and get a lot of response. Like politicsUSA.com plus anti-Republican crusaders. So I wonder what is our problem/ Is it me? I would think like on the other sites that our members would have gone wild when they saw the GOP circus. But nothing at all.

Wake up members get a bit more involved.

Yeah I'm one that doesn't post as often probably because after several years I keep making the same arguments about Republicans over and over again. It's just a different cast of characters. But you are right about liberals choosing not to really get involved or express their views until someone hits their "hot button" or appeals to their passions. That, of course, doesn't answer the question you raised about this particular website versus others. Maybe we are all too busy playing fantasy football.

Part of the problem is the antagonist don't stay around long enough! The opposition is weak and when they discover we call them out on their lies, misinformation and lack of real knowledge they put their tail between their legs and run over to watch Fox to get pumped up again!

Maybe everyone needs to review the attacks on the threads and posts to determine WHO is the real problem here. Liberalism is OK if it does not resort to attacking ones beliefs and rights. Liberalism is good for the soul, if it does not attack others and uses false reasons for denying others expressions. I agree there must be some moderation in the posts and threads of this HUB, but it's just like the Republicans agenda to deny our rights in voting, planned parenthood, and our civil liberties under the Constitution. This is where liberalism goes wrong when it starts behaving as Republicans and the righteous character of the strict right. Maybe some liberals are beginning to behave as conservatives desire them to behave. Must be, "mind control techniques". Please read the many deleted posts and threads, where many should have been allowed. This is why several have lost the desire to discuss on this forum, which is self destructing.

What about a crusade to win the election for the left behind USA citizens. If first there could be a consensus on a candidate , I chose Bernie! but am open to other candidate offerings. Then an agreement to win the election by dropping all other fragments and make only a living wage the only platform. An after winning promise to look at other liberal/progressive/populist issues. The site could be a benchmark for winning the election. I have been to too many meetings that are diluted with "and what about this". Focus and win , "Help Bernie Win" thread with end of the day editing to delete with a consensus non productive post. As time progresses the thread would be a concise factual cut and paste editorial on winning an election.

Now more than ever is the time for a winning message from a winning candidate. Hillary has way too many negatives. When Bernie sighted her $600,000 Goldman Sachs payment, she only stood there and smiled .

Nah, when people like yourself, JC and Mary make fools of yourself with your nonsense you need to be called out for it but I'm talking about the real Republicans and Libertarians, not to mention religious, military and gun nuts who drop in from time to time and discover they are in way over their head!

That is "oppression" that you speak of by berating and ridiculing those with specific beliefs , both political, social and religious. People who oppress others are just like Trump who enjoys blasting off with falsehoods and lies denouncing anybody that doesn't believe the way he does. So, if you enjoy rating with Trump than that's your problem. Trump is a classic example of what's wrong with people denouncing others for their views in society. Like the person who stood up yesterday during Trump's talking moment to proclaim Obama was a Muslim and not an American citizen. Of course, Trump as Trump may be, he did nothing to to stop the venom. These are people that choose to denounce anybody and everybody who does not believe the way they do. As we reflect the 14 year old arrested for being Muslim, brown, and thought incapable of protecting his rights, we have police and an educational system that attempted to make a terrorist out of this young man. Yea, he's different and he is Muslim and he is brown, so he must be punished with an arrest and try they did, the police attempted a forced confession without his parent or legal help present. This young man was too smart for the police and refused a forced confession. This is what America is becoming by many people oppressing their beliefs on others and it all starts with responses like the previous entry on denouncing our right to expression and voice on the DemocraticHUB. I'm all for monitoring and removing the vulgar and hate, but lets use common sense in peoples civil rights and lets stop the venom on our beliefs, as if we DESERVE it. Oppression is a fine line and easy to cross by anybody desiring to silence and remove the opposition. That's what Republicans, communists and dictators do in this world.

AMC. What you call "attack" was never an attack; if you don't agree with something then you should answer the questions, not sticking your head in an human written "bible" thing, as an escape. "Facts" don't lie, just like a question you should ask the Pope: Did you ever really talk to "something up there" and got an verbal or written answer. I do not call that an "attack", but just a question which you refuse to answer. The same as the hypocrite Carson (GOP) who is running; who should know everything about fetuses since he's a surgeon, but keeps his mouth shut when Fiorina lies, neither will admit he's never seen a "soul" thing leave a dead body. Thus I repeat no one is attacking you we just ask questions about "facts"

Anyway lately you've been sticking to things around you; so that is an improvement; so my suggestion is don't drag in religion, then things work out fine.

    ,jared

Watching Washington Journal this morning reminded me again why nothing gets done. The lies of the Super Right have been financed to the point that the have convinced everybody else that what is good for the super right is good for everybody. Then when one of those lies hurts the poor people they have convinced the poor people, that is just some of the drawbacks on the way to get rich but you have to just keep on trying like" I" (super right) did and you will make it. First I will give you an example of how that lie has permeated to the point that it is espoused from the mouth of the poor as axiomatic. College education, that is the path to success. So the poor people because of deregulation and tax cuts that were and are and will be passed as roads to riches have made the cost of education now more than a cost of a house. Poor kids graduate from college paying back that money that used to come from taxes. There is no revolution against deregulation and tax cuts. Now look at how the Super Right has turned neighbor against neighbor and family against family. When the price of milk goes up in the neighbor store , and I have been in stores and heard this, people blame the unions for the higher prices. If their union neighbor didn't make more money the price wouldn't have gone up. What they identified was a need for price controls but what they espoused was the Super Right propaganda of blame the labor union. Look at one of the biggest Super Right Lies the stock market correction. Because of tax cuts and deregulation the Super Right now has more money, tax cuts, that they can use to artificially control the markets. Every time the a stock trades the price goes up. Then when the price is too high because of all the extra money from tax cuts and banking and stock market deregulation the price falls. So why does the price continue to fall instead of remaining high and stagnant. Because the Super Right then starts a race to the bottom. They can't lose any money because they are selling back something they paid $10 for $9. When the price stabilizes at a valuation then the rise starts over again. The rise starts over again. The perception is that everybody lost, Super Right propaganda. The Super Right wins. They made money both on the way up and the way down, and because of their wealth stock pile they now own or could own everything. Because of the wealth stockpile they start the race back up again. And because of the propaganda that you always gain in the long run they get buyers.

My point is that we get involved in lesser challenges even personal differences that sidetrack the important liberal purpose. Poor people are important now that poverty is rampant and spiraling down out of control. Instead of teaching the poor to say "thank you, may I have another" we have to say stop.

The problem in this forum is that there are very few free thinkers. Again, I can't believe that educated people are so screwed up. There are no excuses We see what we want to see. But I've noticed.....there are definitely some hateful people in this forum.

They attempt tp play it off when reasoning their positions. But again.....hateful, and spiteful.

I have no education. I am a racist.....Yes....a mexican racist (go figure). My positions are narrow minded and come only from my experiences and observations.

I have one true quality.....Honesty.....and I dont fear shit. I'm also a good judge of character........Dutch, PR. Jared, Schmidt, Lonely Bird. TJ and a couple more are the only reason I'm still in this forum.

Most of you others need to place a brown ribbon around your trees to signify the shit that comes out in your posts

That is what happens when oppressed people release the mounting and built up fury. Reflects poverty and growing poverty and propaganda.
