I was watching the Donald speak in Texas tonight, and noticed that all he says is something negative about his opponents, his predecessors, or the other party. He never mentions a program or an idea that he might offer for improving some less-than-ideal situation here in America. I did hear him say that he WOULD be presenting some terrific new tax program later on, but who can guess when that might be? He added that one of the first things he would do about U.S. companies moving some or all of their operations overseas, is that he would be bringing TRILLIONS of dollars that left, back home where they belong. How would he suggest this be done? Obviously he gave no specifics. I think his method is to bring huge crowds together, incite them with some far-out logic that no one can follow, and then just leave them hanging on for more.

He has stated he will not raise the minimum wage because he wants to keep the American worker competitive. So just like every other program it will ride to success on the backs of the poor. Reminds me of that old James Bond movie when that Sheriff says " who's he a secret agent for". Who is Trump going to make it great for?

Who, you ask. Everyone should know that answer because it is self-evident: TRUMP and the WEALTHY.

I watched the start of his Texas rally and after about 10 minutes of listening to his self amazement of his progress I had enough.

And he announced he is not going to help the low side of the income gap. He'll leave the minimum wage low to keep USA workers competitive. He talks about minimum wage like it is a strategic tool and not the money people try to live on. Redefines "not in touch".

That is the danger with this guy; he's so fond of himself and thinks he's Jesus.

He is appealing to nationalism. In a country as diverse as the USA nationalism turns out to be an economic group. What is most interesting and glossed over is Carson's meteoric rise. Trump ignores the huge rise in Carson's poll numbers. Carson's short term poll numbers are incredible for somebody appearing less involved with leadership and politics. Trump is always relating his dealings with lobbyist so Carson appears the most innocent candidate.

The problem with Carson will be: first of all he caters to the southern evangelicals; second he's "black". Since Obama, the GOP is not that fond of "blacks" being President. The JBS society likes him, as well the Koch brothers, because he's evangelical, so for the fanatic Christians he's liked.

There is a branch of news that I am not aware of. I have talked to people that say they like what he says. I ask them where they have heard him and they say the news. There must be a genre that follows him.

One if the "benefits" of living in NH is being constantly subjected to political advertising, especially at the present time. I just saw a TV spot extolling how wonderful Linday Graham is. Thirty years of military service, a real 'merican, tough guy to boot. Every image they showed of him was from an angle that portrayed him as just that, instead of a typical scairdy cat hate filled Conservative he actually is.

All of these would be saviors of our country are filling the airwaves in NH 24/7 announcing what real, honest, kind loving, strong people they are and why we need them.

Consider yourself very fortunate you don't have to put up with this crap for months as I do!

P.R I sure feel sorry for you; since I saw part of the disaster last night, I can imagine how you feel. On top of that my mails; so come to FL and cry out on my shoulder.

Last night I turned the knob on off half way of the circus; I've never in my life seen such a bunch of looser school kids. Here are some of the horrible points.

    1) get rid of the Iran deal

    2) get rid of Planned Parenthood

    3) get rid of Obama care

    4) Boost the Pentagon

    5) Give Israel more weapons

If any of these evangelical nutheads ever succeed, then this country is doomed

I think they themselves are aborted fetuses acting as brainless idiots. In my view none of their plans will improve this country. Also the extensive militarization will only add to the tensions in the world and lead to more wars. None of these clowns have a middle east solution (or any knowledge of it), except throwing in more ammunition into the fire; which may lead to WWIII. At least then they finally can use the 400 million dollar F35. Wow what a dangerous country!!!!! I'm going to throw up!!!!

pr, that is good insight about campaigning. Don't realize how key states are bombarded with advertising.

Dutch, There will never be a Middle East solution. People look at it like a new problem when in fact it has been going on for thousands of years. There is great coverage and analysis of new accords, cease fires and treaties. But behind the scenes they are still calling for extermination of the other. If they want peace then look at how the upper 1% over there deals with conflict. They pack up and leave until it cools down. Look inside the USA. My own personal view is things are getting worse as the economy gets worse. Give people a living and something to live for. That will replace something to fight for.

Chet your last line says it all; the same counts for the middle east; if you feed people, give them education and jobs, then you don't have this problem. The same for this country. If we spent our money on that instead of weapons and bombs that will help. Just giving money and weapons to the leaders creates wars because the population has no jobs or food on the table, then they resort to religious fanatism

You are right again Dutch. Dealing with problems is dealing with leaders. Dealing with leaders gives them more power. The concessions and money they get, they use at their won discretion. Sovereignty immunizes leaders from justice and actually raises bad leaders to the same respect level as good people. Profit through people is the answer. Give people a reason to live instead of die. The culprit is meritocracy. As long as people are valued according to their earnings profit will be the king. That can be changed by forcing money back into the real economy of goods and services. Then the stock market will really be about funding industry.
