The Hispanic/Latini vote may not be a problem for Trump. He has an incredibly lucky story that was revealed on Morning Joe. They were talking about Trump telling Bush to speak English. Trump says you need to speak English to get along and advance. Somebody called attention to a story about Trump hiring a Spanish speaking person recommended to him for a job. He said to learn English in order to work and advance, be assimilated into business . Trump hired him, guy learned English, is doing well and advancing in the organization. Trump has a way of explaining away all his apparently insensitive positions by relating to succeeding in work. Trump is winning supporters daily. Good for him. Bad for us. He is going to be a likable in he life styles of the rich and famous way that will get poor people to vote for him. The worst person for the poor is Trump. The best is Sanders. Trump will be the rich guy showing how you can succeed. Sanders will be the poor guy trying to show how the ways of the popular and respected Trumps are bad for the majority. If his hiring the guy if he learned English works for Trumps popularity then that is how the next president will be chosen.

Hey Chet, I believe you are correct in saying Trump is the rich guy......... but you sure could be wrong in saying Sanders will be the poor guy..... How do you know Sanders is a poor guy? Years in the Senate at well-over $100K/year would very likely NOT result in a poor guy. Just saying

Don't forget Trump went bankrupt 3 times; that shows he can fail and has nothing at all to do with being rich; he was already born with a golden spoon in his mouth; so he does not know what poor is. If you take Bernie, I presume that at least he knows what he's talking about, I doubt that about Trump. Sorry he's a dealer and wheeler, so if you want a used car salesman as President be my guest.

Trump can be beaten but only by a strong charismatic candidate, which Hilary is not, and one with a strong message of country first and not party idealism , too many voters are growing disenchanted with today's partisan politics and with the entrenched political class in Washington, couple that with the money from self interests groups (Lobbyist) and you begin to see why the voters are no longer interested in voting in another endorsed party political candidate, the GOP top tier candidates are a deposed CEO, a Neurosurgeon, and Real Estate Mogul who has a side job as a Reality Show host, and Trump is approaching a 40% poll rating, so before you poo pah that away as just crazy Republicans being Republicans, just remember that there are many Democrats looking their way also, BTW Dutch, Trump has not filed personal bankruptcy only Corp. filings which too many Corps file for protection from paying their bills. So in the Corp. world of Donald Trump and other Corp. leaders this is a sound business practice.

As far as Trump and Bernie being rich and poor I was alluding to them representing the interests of the rich and poor. Unfortunately I fail a lot in getting my thoughts transposed to writing. Trumps bankruptcies were not personal and he himself said he took advantage of the laws. Not having the luxury to manipulate at pleasure a lot of us react as a last resort. In contract law and bankruptcies there is a term which alludes me but means you are better off to void the contract if it is your best interest. Without knowing the particulars of Trump's bankruptcies I would still be willing to bet that it was a more beneficial way to proceed. Not that he or the company was up against the wall trying to find money to pay the power bill. I think it is terminating for convenience. When talking about the bankruptcies I remember him saying something like these are not nice guys, they are out to get you. All business with no stigmatism attached like a regular person losing it all. Trump is winning over and becoming back slapping buddies with some of his most critical detractors. What this means is that he may get the most important job in the world because he is a skillful communicator. I gues that is what an election is about anyways. When pressed on substance he responds with "when the time comes I will know more about it than anybody". And now people are accepting that as substance. Trump had Gene Robinson giggling like a six year old talking to Santa Claus on morning Joe.

The state lotteries have probably replaced religion in what Marx said is the opiate of the masses. People don't have to face reality because the next drawing might make them buddies with Trump. Somebody said that today's poor (less than 100k income) feel like they are millionaires with a cash flow problem. Too many things and pundants cloud the realities to get voters serious about their future. Like voting to get your boy in office rather than getting your best interests served.

Chet, it is like a kid in the toy store; coming home with it he plays with it for a couple of hours and then thrashes it. Most people here don't think further then their front door; either totally naïve or fully indoctrinated. Self thinking is a thing of the past; the media thinks for you or the church, army. So no wonder we get what the media promotes. Hitler did not have the same media tools, but we certainly use the same methods to get into power.

If Trump is the Republican candidate then the Democrats can select Barney the Dinosaur as our nominee and we will still win.

The demographics in this country are changing and that terrifies the Republican base. Trump's theatrics bode well for the white base of the Republican party who is terrified that "our country is being taken away," but we would be foolish to believe that he could say that garbage as the Republican nominee and actually win a national election.

The 2016 race is pretty much over already anyway. The safely blue states almost equal the 270 electoral college votes needed for the Democratic nominee to win the election and their path to victory, whoever the Democratic nominee is, is going to be far easier than that of the Republican nominee. We shouldn't spike the football now, but take one look at the electoral college map and you will be able to see what I'm talking about. The numbers don't add up for the Republicans in the electoral college regardless of who they put up as a nominee.

Republicans will likely hold on to the House because of the gerrymandered districts they were able to push through after the 2010 census, but the Republicans will never win a national election if they continue down the destructive path they have set out for themselves.

My hope of all hopes is that Trump continues to take the Republicans down this destructive path; I hope he is the Republican nominee; I hope he picks Sarah Palin as his running mate; and I hope he continues to ramp up his xenophobic and racist comments that will be used as a 1,000 pound weight that we democrats can tie around every single down ticket Republican that will be forced to line up behind him in the 2016 elections.

Jared you are an eternal optimist; that is good! I could not agree more. However no one thought Hitler would come into power and see what happened. Sure I share you optimism, but don't under estimate the stupidity of people here.

trump most certainly is not unbeatable. that being said imo unless he takes out his johnson in the middle of a debate and waves it around while on stage he will be the nominee. and that actually is a good thing because if debates, not the scripted bullschlitz that we have now, actually occur he will make a fool of himself. he has no plans, no policies, no nothing beyond his overweening ego. he lacks ability despite his claims to the contrary. putin, the prc and the middle east would show him for the shallow, benighted fool that he is.

The latest: Trump and Cruz are going to have a big demonstration in D.C. to denounce the Iran deal. A smart move to do that together with Cruz. Just to show the evangelical nuthead's he's on their side. Indeed Trump uses every tool he can get. Don't under estimate the religious dumb Americans; they love to belong to the "herd" ; that is the way to become a leader here. Sieg Heil !

Indeed I saw part of it on CNN; totally laughable him together with Cruz competing on who could have the dumbest statements. I guess I've never in my life seen such circus. On top of that signs all over to promote the "tea party" even Palin opened her fish wife big mouth. Unbelievable. The Carson guy wanted also to come in the news questioning Trump's "faith"; thus in other words; just throw in "religion" into elections ,while the Constitution forbids that. What an evangelical idiot. If this continues as of right now, I pity the American people; it will be the end of America as we know it. Read all of Eternal's mail about the "tea party" that tells you enough..

Trump replied on CNN on the question of his "faith" launched by Carson. He got kind of mad because the guy visited his club ( to show he owned it) and was not welcome there. He said he "believes " and Evangelicals are very smart people. WOW. Sorry little mistake: they are the most ignorant dumb people on the globe; they certainly are not suited for any Government job if you believe in fantasy and not the reality around you or the reality of separation of church and Government; facts don't count. The real danger is that if these guys get elected, then the evangelicals will run this country the way the JBS society wants. forgetting the Constitution. A kind of "Christian" ISIS.
