So, now that President Obama has signed the USA Freedom ACT into service replacing the argued Patriot ACT, just what do you think has changed? Although, the Government and anybody else that utilized the Patriot Act to snoop, nothing has changed unless you honestly believe that adding another layer to get access to metadata will prevent what has been done before. No, nothing has really changed.
Anyway on the news this evening, which I verified on an Internet source search, our security agencies, and anybody else, have been using Aircraft equipped with advanced tech cell phone eavesdropping devices. All that is required is fly overhead a large community or city and tracking software can locate the people they are searching on, plus record all conversations that go on during the process. All cell phones are tagged and turned on and since they are looking for specific individuals they can do their security research from afar without their knowledge. Way cool!
The newscast indicated that this snooping has proven very valuable in the past, so don't worry the terrorists can be tracked, Patriot Act or not. That little plane flying above is a mobile cell tower that turns on cell phones just like the towers on the ground. Yes, if the terrorist doesn't use cell phones than this doesn't work. Yea, right..........try taking your cell phone way from your kids or anybody............normal relations stop.
I was never concerned with the Patriot Act to begin with, but I'm glad that a newer model of Patriot Act was signed into service today. Shall I chant, "USA, USA, USA"? Paul Rand just made a fool of himself pushing an end to the Patriot Act and it was all for "himself" to get paid speaking engagements and possible reelection.
I know lets all have cake and ice cream celebrating the USA Freedom Act.....................me first!
