100 thousand gallons of oil spilled near Santa Barbara. No worries. We'll check the facts.....2.5 billion in profits this year, we'll fine them 100 million. They'll still be wealthy and oil industry still thrives. No oil execs will be seen whipping oil off of wild life. No oil execs will lose employment. Pathetic.
Justice would be for the offending corporation sending 60% of their work force to the clean up sites. That won't happen.

This makes me so sad. I see this and wonder how many more of these it'll take before we realize that a fossil fuel based economy is not good for us or the planet. We all know what will happen here because it's what always happens--the company will get a paltry fine, no one will be held criminally liable, and this company will continue receiving billions of dollars of tax credits that the American people give them to continue polluting our planet until it's too late for any of us to do anything about it.

Jared just ask Eternal; the Koch brothers own a lot tar sands property up in Canada; they don't care as long as Walker wins so they can keep the tar flowing.
As a further note what about the refineries we are bombing in Iraq; if we don't like pollution why is it OK to polute somewhere else

I sure hope they're using much clean water to clean off the Pelicans, Seals, Turtles, and whatever else is covered in this mess. Watch out.........rumor is that you're almost out of fresh water. Going to be many thirsty folks in Cali. As long as the big money corporations have their share, all is good.

Not long ago, you all were supporting the Keystone Pipeline. That's pathetic. The destruction of the Midwest from pumping toxic tar sands oil in the large water table will be a lot worse than a few miles of sea coastline.

you all? don't include me. i have sold into the petroleum market and am aware of the corrosive/erosive characteristics of slurries in pipelines. i wasn't for it for a variety of reasons including environmental as well as political economic.

Yes AMC, you're wrong. I have never posted anything positive about Keystone or this foul Tar Sands oil. In typical fashion you're being critical without the facts.
I bet JC is glad you're back.
