On an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN, Linsey Graham ( GOP) dared to state that Obama was the guilty one who created the mess in Iraq and Syria.
Wow; the worst part of it most GOP members believe this. He also said that Obama should sent immediately 10,000 troops to help ( who?) Of course this fits the Bush doctrine i.e. in no time of course this would then expand to at least a 100,000 troops etc. Such does not cost life's or money of course. How is it possible that people like that get a function in our government and dare to spew such utterly nonsense; is our education in this country that bad?
ISIS loves to fight the ugly Americans as they said themselves; are 6000 plus dead soldiers who died in vain not enough for that Bush/Cheney created mess?
Anyway a smarter guy on TV said sure kill the "leaders" ( at what cost?) the next leaders are already in place; so that is pure stupid. Now ISIS has retaken Ramadi ; what is next? The huge Embassy of the US?

Graham is a buffoon. The problem lies (snark) with the entire flawed concept. The intelligence communities worldwide were not uniform in stating Hussein had wmd. They did say to continue inspections. The problem with that was it ran contrary to the already planned, pre-9/11, war that bush/Cheney wanted. The other fallacy that buffoons such as Rubio spout re: Hussein and how it's better that he is gone from power is nonsense on its face. A fairly stable country albeit one ruled by a guy we decided to not like after we did compared with chaos. Yeah, that's much better.

I'm not surprised in the least. Graham and pretty much the entire Republican Party have somehow convinced themselves that Iraq was this peaceful utopia before President Obama was elected and that it's Obama's fault that the Middle East is on fire. It's a strategy that seems to be working because half of the country actually thinks that it's true.

American's have some very short memories. Far too many people in this country think that war is the first, second, and third option. It's a very profitable industry for a few big companies, but I don't really understand why average Americans continue to get suckered into thinking that the world would be a more peaceful place if we just waged war on every corner of the planet. The biggest and baddest bombs we make will never stop someone who straps explosives to their chest and walks into a crowded market.

Jared, are we both too dumb or is just about this whole country dumb? Have they really forgotten how many life's we lost since WWII for nothing? Let alone the trillions of our tax money used for bribes and war junk? In the meantime we don't feed the poor anymore in AZ and can't keep trains on their tracks and spent billions to elect a "leader" in the near future. I guess the suicide rates will keep on climbing in this nutty country.

I actually think it has far more to do with the consolidation of those who control our media and their ceaseless drive to push out a narrative that is far more pro war than much of the country actually is. Just six companies control over ninety percent of all media that Americans get. And that's not just in television media; it's ALL media.

When so few control the flow of information then we are far more susceptible to getting ourselves into trouble as a nation. Companies like Boeing and Lockheed Martin spend tens of millions of dollars per year on advertising and they would be very upset if these 'news' organizations started questioning whether or not the American people should be fighting a never ending war because not waging war would hurt their bottom lines.

So I actually think the issue of ISIS and Republicans insatiable appetite for war has more to do with the people who write them multi-million dollar Super PAC checks and much less to do with wanting to protect the American homeland.

Fear not...... I posted in another thread where in Utah a young Democrat accused Jeb of being the brother of the creator of ISIS. That caused him to (a day later) flip flop on his Iraq position (no longer blame Pres. Obama). I believe Rubio has altered his stance as well. One of the few benefits of 24 hr mass media coverage is that stupid shit is eventually recognized as being just that.
Today it's wondered if ISIS is going to ruin more historic sites in Syria. Not to worry.....2 - 3 thousand year old sites are a dime a dozen. Maybe as the years go by ISIS might consider trashing Greece, Italy, and anywhere else where history is appreciated.

For the Christians luckily they can't thrash much; no Noah's Arc, No Jesus tomb with artifacts, No Jesus bones ( he left in time to Mars or left for South America), No surfboard what he invented (could walk on water), No dirty laundry or flip flops, No artifacts at all; except some wood splinters of the cross?( Wow how do you prove such?) with the exception of Michael Angelo paintings /sculptures made long after his death. Sure they may be bomb the Vatican, which I think is not an artifact at all. So T.J. don't worry, we have always 3-D printing machines who can reproduce these things and put a made in China stickers on it.

Latest news: Obama orders more troops to Iraq; has he gone nuts? but it said also he did not change strategy Just keep on spending fortunes on something which you never will be able to control. To rule the whole world to our liking is virtually impossible; we could use that money much better at home. We will never learn!!!!

I would imagine many persons in DC have major stock holdings in whatever corporations are most likely to make profits on the continuation of our current or

potentially worse policies in 2015/2016 '17 after we get a new Pres. he or she will need to put their initials on a new ass kicking of some bad guys and we'll be onto the next chapter of this book.

Yes Tony; but I wonder when is the tax paying public finally getting fed up with these forever wars, which milk away all our tax money for no result or benefit to us citizens. Voting does not change that either because half this country is un-educated or follows what FOX or the church preaches. Thus in other words we are going downhill for a long time. On top of that we have the "clown car" which may influence the un-educated masses as well. If you want to get rich, I suggest start writing a book over the 2016 elections, it will be an horror "movie" for sure; showing how silly this country realy is.
