Another how to on the death penalty. Another waste of time and money by the Supreme Leaders, of which five actually determine the course the USA takes. Modifying or elimination of whatever law or rule five of them don't like. The rest of us have no recourse. If that's not the definition of Supreme Leader I don't know what is. I guess now the question is, how does the State kill people it deems unworthy to live. Funny, it's mostly the red states that want to kill people when the bible thumpers are the clear majority. They don't take the, thou shalt not kill literally and modify a eye for a eye and a tooth for a tooth to mean murder for murder. The point of my rant was to suggest to the states a solution to the conflict, kill without unusual pain and suffering. All the states have had the solution for years. Her-on as it's known here. Cheap 100% effective and available most anywhere and leaves the recipient with a smile on their face. Therein lies the problem, a smile on their face.

I have often entertained the notion of using opiates as the tool for a humane way of using the death penalty, no fancy named drugs, no power surges, no bullet riddled bodies, or distorted bodies from a hanging, just a slip into death. no fuss,no mess.

Civilized countries do not use the death penalty; we still live in the middle ages related to that.

There are some people who do need killing, legally or illegally.

I agree with Dutch. The death penalty does not belong in a civilized society. We have executed far too many innocent people to ever be able to justify this act. There's no going back after someone is executed.
