Yes PR; I've got the feeling that their training; as also confirmed by our neighbor; is done on a "military" copied way. Only a couple of hours are spent on "human" interface, as well phycological training. Because they have a uniform and badges and a guns; they feel they are powerful/superior and love this autherian feeling. I doubt that during the training that they are told to treat people the same way as they want to be treated.
As a matter of fact they are taught to do just that, treat others how they wish to be treated, but unfortunately most times the police are responding to a tense situation where decorum and tact are their most effective weapons against an emotionally charged moment, and yes it sometimes gets out hand but by and large the situations are handled with care and without violence, these things are not reported because it is just part of the job but when one gets totally out of hand and the results are the death or severe beating of a citizen then the refrain goes up that all cops are out of control, which is just not true and the statements are usually a knee jerk reaction to ginn up a situation for a personal agenda.

Well JC, we can't speak about all cops because technology has just started to give us a clear look thanks to dash cams, and capable cells phones. It's sure interesting how so early into the advent of this technology...... the picture already looks so bad.
In the SC case, it was clear that there was no reason to kill..... except the stolen taser...... oh yes, that was planted. It's alright to kill needlessly, just plant an excuse - that usually works.

That's how it's worked for decades now. And that's how it would have worked in this case had it not been for the bystander who videotaped the incident. When cops are always given the benefit of the doubt then it's impossible to ever have justice in this country.

The scary thing is that plenty of right wing states are passing laws that make it a crime to tape police. I guess that's one way to sweep things back under the rug...

And your point is what, that more cops than not kill needlessly?

I believe wholeheartedly in Body Cams, which I am sure you will agree will cut down on these types of incidents. Here in Pa., Philly to be more exact , does allow for the filming /recording of police actions as long as they don't interfere with the arrest or questioning of the person involved.

Again I repeat the new criminal way people are treated; therefore I repeat what I saw the last two days. Another very shocking beating somewhere in San Bernadino (CA) a helicopter camera filmed the whole thing; the cops were chasing a man in a red shirt who stole a horse; when the cops came he himself lay spread eagle flat on the ground then then the cops started kicking and pounding him with at least 4/5 men. If anyone can post this video; then you can see how brutal that was; unbelievable; these cops should be thrown in jail for the rest of their lives

Those cops were all suspended pending further investigation. Do you want them punished without due process?

Yes, J.C. due process is a laugh; the "union" will protect them; this video does not lie; sufficient proof they should be fired and jailed immediately; the due process should only be a formality.

Due process is a sacred right in this nation, even a confessed murderer gets due process, and the finding of guilt is not about sufficient guilt but beyond a reasonable doubt , which a jury of men and women render after hearing all of the evidence. This right is guaranteed under our Constitution, why would you want to circumvent the law, if you ignore one Right then you may as well ignore other Right that you might deem insufficient to use.

J.C. So you agree these cops should be roaming the street until "due process" you must be kidding. I already bet as with the other cases that smart lawyers and the unions etc. get them of the hook. I guess you are not aware that this is a corrupt country; bribery and money handouts will likely "solve" this case as well. Be my guest and steal a horse; good luck.

I don't agree with that statement referring roaming the streets, they are suspended more than likely fired, indicted, and they made bail, which is afforded any criminal in this nation. I am sure that you agree with process.

There was another video posted two days ago. Two cops stood by to let their K-9 maul a hand-cuffed perp to death (man died shortly after). You can hear as one of the 'officers' say, "get him" while the man laid on the ground completely unconscious. You can blatantly see the man is not fighting back whatsoever, and is completely still. If this crap doesn't stop... I will be one of the first in line to stand in the streets ready to engage. Take that as you will. But like many, many others, we are getting tired of it. If the law will not protect us, we will handle it.

Here is a link to the video. I warn you, it is graphic and will leave your blood boiling. nypost.com/2015/04/11/police-dog-attacks-suspect-in-new-jersey-man-dies-shortly...

JC, I think you are missing Dutch's point. If you think these cops do not have more rights than you... You are living under a very deep rock. If you did anyone of these crimes these abusers have done in the past few months you would have a life sentence by now. You say due process is a sacred right in this nation? Yes it is. But when it comes to these bullshit cops and departments saving face, it doesn't matter one bit. What's pissing everyone off is the blatant misuse and stretching of these rights and law to accommodate themselves. You CAN NOT say it isn't happening. And you CAN NOT say due process is working in favor of any one these victims. You can't. That would be amazingly close minded. Due process is supposed to protect BOTH parties. Not the one that has a badge attached to his lapel.

These cases are common sense. There is a murder, and the murder has definitive proof. What more could you possibly want to convict someone. That is all you need. If the person is not convicted, there definitive proof of favoritism. Which then leaves you to KNOW that our rights, laws, and 'sacred rights' have been taken away from the people who need them most and given to the other party.
