    So says my Christian Bible, but I do have a question for you , since I pose no threat in any manner to you or your way of life and from your postings it seems that you have a strong dislike of anything related to religion for reasons only known to yourself, does this make you bigot also?

    first, your assumption is wrong.

    second, in answer to your question it does not. why? because i will interact with those whose belief structure differs from my own. i do not expect that they will believe as i do but more importantly i will not stand for them forcing their belief structure on myself or others. i do not expect you to believe as i do but you and such as you do not get to force your will on someone else. rant all you want against gay marriage. call it a sin, an abomination. but do not for a minute think that enshrining your beliefs as law is acceptable. in the case of the hypocritical pizzeria owners for instance homosexuality is deemed in so-called scripture to be an abomination. that doesn't mean gay marriage, it means homosexuality. thus the hypocritical pizzeria owners are willing to support homosexuality by selling to gays except in the case of gay marriage.

    now as for your christian bible do yourself a favor and read it. actually read it, research it, cross-reference it between what is said in one place about something and what is said somewhere else. read some scholars who have researched it and researched the growth of christian theology as well as historic christianity in all its many and varied forms. btw, it is called gnosticism and it refers to groups of certain ancient christians who believed that secret knowledge was imparted to some believers and that you must search within and without for this knowledge. of course that is just one facet of an actual fairly broad movement called gnosticism. the so-called church fathers as well as paul railed against them. who was right? as for the law we have already ascertained that you do not follow it because you do not follow ALL of it. you, either on your own or through the heretical sect you follow, (that's another danger of indiana's rfra law, i could refuse to serve you because you are a heretic and as such are to be avoided) has deemed certain of the law to be in force and followed and certain of the law to be discarded.

    btw, i don't think you are a heretic but it is necessary to point out to you the danger of literal belief as well as claims of the pharisees as regards the law, secular law and the impact of religion as bigotry for laws such as rfra's allow those who deem protestants to be heretical to be denied service or roman catholics or mormons or fill-in-the-blank. you live in the country that has allowed the most unencumbered religious freedom in the world and yet you would gladly, happily cast that freedom aside.

    It's time to let this thread run its course. If a member can't stay on topic, which is the Indiana religious freedom law, then please don't post in this thread. Hijacking topics is not allowed and threads that aren't about this topic will be removed.

    Yes, you did hijack the thread. And yes, I guess you can call me the forum police, although I prefer website moderator. None of your posts have been removed that didn't break a website rule, but the ones that have broken a rule have been removed.

    And only the posts that were posted after I asked everyone to get back on topic were removed. I gave a warning: "It's time to let this thread run its course. If a member can't stay on topic, which is the Indiana religious freedom law, then please don't post in this thread. Hijacking topics is not allowed and threads that aren't about this topic will be removed;" you ignored it; and then I removed your posts after that warning that didn't have to do with the topic of this thread. 99.9% of your posts are still alive and well on this website.

    It is my job to ensure conversations don't devolve into something the original posting was never about and to get them back on topic. This discussion was about religious freedom laws, not about the history of god and who wrote the Bible. We have ten plus pages of discussing that history instead of this law and it is time to either get back on topic or let the thread run its course.

    You are welcome to start a thread on that or any other topic if you wish, but any thread that doesn't have to do with this specific discussion will be removed. You are welcome to private message me or any other moderator for further clarification of our website rules.
