A Senator can technically be expelled from office, but that is incredibly rare. One Senator was expelled for treason in 1797 and the only other Senators expelled from office were the ones who supported Confederate secession. No other Senator has ever been removed since then and I really doubt anything McConnell does will ever trigger an expulsion vote by this or any Congress.I can disagree with a Senator with all of my might, but we are going down a very slippery slope when we begin to call for everyone's removal from office every time they do something we disagree with. I get really upset every time someone calls for a Democratic politician to be impeached or resign from office and I tend to do the same when it comes to Republicans.Preventing a vote from happening doesn't really rise to the level of an impeachable offense. It's a dick move, but that's about all. It's unfortunate the Democrats decided to stay home at appallingly high rates last November and basically hand the Senate to the Republicans on a silver platter. When one-third of eligible voters participate then we get the Government we deserve. If you want to see McConnell out of power then get your friends and family excited to vote in 2016 and send McConnell and the Republicans back to minority party status again. There's not really much we can do outside of that.
