Big John says, not once but twice, "THREE WEEKS AGO" that was when the House passed a bill and sent it to the Senate for action. This bill had the usual ride-a-longs like removing funding for ObamaCare, canceling the President's illegal executive orders, etc.

Why is John so irate about 3 weeks? The majority of the Senate passed am immigration reform bill over 1.5 YEARS ago, and big John still hasn't brought it to the House floor for discussion or a vote. I wish Nancy Pelosi would ask him directly why it is ok for him to wait, but not ok for the Senate to even hint at doing the same.

I love your example. I honestly think Boehner has lost total control of his caucus. He has no idea how to get anything done and will likely go down as one of the worst Speakers in our nations short history. And we've had more than a few terrible Speakers.

Boehner knows the crazies in his caucus own him and there's nothing he can do about it. He's more focused on maintaining his speakership than passing any legislation that the President will sign. If he is seen as negotiating with the Democrats then they will vote him out, so he'd rather do absolutely nothing and bring the country down with him than give up power. Part of me feels bad for him, but the other part can't stand that he is spineless and won't fight back against his childish caucus who is hellbent on blowing everything up in order to not be perceived as giving President Obama 'a win.'

Boehner caved. The House just passed a clean DHS funding bill for the remainder of the fiscal year. President Obama will sign it.

Boehner's face saver is that the court has decided on Obama's executive actions on immigration reform, and therefore a non-issue for him. Why then did he go through all the theatrics of almost shutting down the DHS?

Is anyone surprised? Boehner can't rule by fiat. I would have thought he had learned that by now, but he obviously hasn't.
