I start by admitting that I know many participants are not interested in sports. That's perfectly fine.
For anyone who might be interested....... Monday evening at 8:30 pm ET. ESPN is telecasting the college football National Championship game with Ohio State
University playing University of Oregon. I record many shows of interest. Upon going forward on my Guide, I saw that ESPN had this game shown as airing on all 4 of my ESPN channels. What they are doing is unheard of - see contents of this link.

    http://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2015-national-championship/2015/01/47938/espn-will-air-cfp-megacast-across-multiple-platforms-for

Last week the semi final games had huge viewership. On ESPN they've escalated their coverage by a large amount. They are going to do so much more leading up to the game Monday evening including coverage after the game.

I guess I'll watch Oregon beat Ohio State on just one channel.

I'm going to an anti-stupid bowl party. Lots of food and beer but no sports talk allowed!

What happened to you? A shark fallen out of the sky? Must have come flying in via a wild snow storm in N.H. Ha ha.

Went to FL and got attacked by a big Republican, conservative, Christian white shark! I barely got away with my life but, thank God, I saw a billboard on the side of the highway telling to repent my sins as heaven and hell are real and Jeasus would save me. So, I said a quick prayer, several hail Mary's, and rubbed my pocket copy of the Koran three times and, I WAS SAVED!

Doubt it!! The shark fell on your head; so now you think you are in "heaven" (N.H.?) Sorry but only AMC and J,C. and the Pope can save you; bad luck.

Are you telling me that it was pure, dumb luck that saved me from that shark attack?

If so, it certainly didn't hurt to say those Hail Mary's and rub the Koran - after all there is nothing wrong with covering all the bases (or so I'm told)! Next you'll be telling me the Tooth Fairy isn't real and the 900 Club is only interested in my money and not my soul!

Although Ohio State is my sentimental favorite, due to my years in the Midwest, it should still be a good game. .

My warped sense of the literary would rather see Oregon State instead of the University of Oregon playing Ohio State so that there would be a match up between the Beavers and the Buckeyes instead of the Ducks versus the Buckeyes.

(Technically, the mascot is Benny the Beaver, but who's quibbling?). There are actually 4 colleges that have the beaver as a mascot, and 3 that have "Bucky Beaver" as mascot. The complete list is shown below.

The strangest one, in my opinion, is The Fighting Okra, closely followed by Fighting Pickle. One of my favorites is Whoo RU the mascot for Rowan University.

As a central Ohio resident I'm a life long Buckeye fan. Most outside of Ohio don't even know what a Buckeye is. It's a brown nut that falls from the tree's late August - just in time for football season. It's not edible though squirrels and my dog chew them up. I'm definitely cheering for the Buckeyes as they are considered the under dog. I have much respect for Oregon.

jared is residing in Oregon so I'm wondering if he has any interest in the contest.
What's truly amazing is how the television network is attributing such massive coverage to the event.
for ESPN Football = MONEY.......... College Football and Pro Football

pgr, I hope you enjoy your game party. A gathering of friends is always good. If others attempt to speak of football say: Mey no hablo englese.... (L.A. perhaps you can correct my bad spelling.)

Thanks lonely. Back at you. This playoff situation is a major improvement. After being vote number 4..... we beat #1 Alabama and then #2 Oregon.
Next season is the season when we're officially supposed to be very good.
I just read that 33 million people watched the game.
