Forthcoming is Thanksgiving and than the trek to Christmas. Thanksgiving is our opportunity to the remember and acknowledge what life has bestowed to us, what we Believe what God has Blessed us, and what others have done for us. We do live in a country that has many blessings and rich rewards more so than most all other countries. Where we rate with other countries we slide all over the scale of good, average and not so good. Are there areas to improve on? Most certainly do we as Americans have a lot to fix, repair or just have it redone. But, we live in a country that has our vote and if used appropriately without regards to greed and power, but use our common sense for humanity than America can achieve a whole lot more.

I am thankful for a strong Armed Forces and police authority to protect our interests. I am thankful for a government that can be managed by the vote, which should be done better in future elections. I am thankful for my Church, faith and the ever love of God through His son Jesus Christ. I am thankful for Family and the blessing that grand children give. I am thankful for a life rich in abundance and enough to spread around. I am thankful for many friends, including those that have similar tastes in life and yes, I'm thankful for the obstructionists that attempt to throw me off course. Without the opposition, where would one measure themselves against adversity. So, yes I am thankful for all the opposition. I am thankful for health and a long life.

Beyond that and as I think of anything else, I want to Thank all our Armed Force personnel serving now and in the past. I thank all veterans that have served, police across our country, and those that serve in protecting our America from threats around the world and in this country.

May you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and try to stay away from the "Black Friday" sales that disrupt family time on such a blessed holiday event.

But most of all lord... Thank you for your complete silence and invisibilty since your birth. How come I can only feel your presence when I'm drinking or smoking a fatty. Lord, You owe me some money. Nobody drinks or smokes free.

Lord, what is your position with Dinosaurs today??? I know your first answer was "TO TEST MY FAITH" but since I have no faith do you think maybe you can send down a couple milllion dollars to boost my faith.????

Lord, why did you send ebola to Texas and then take it right back??? Down here Lord, Texas folk would hang me for that. Is Texas not worthy of your blessings??

Lord, what's up with your number one Commander here on earth??? (the Pope) When will you silence his insubordination? And please lord, force him to put away his very outdated head piece. We down here place high value on making Fashion statements. Is that why you took Joan Rivers?

Pleeeze Lord.....do something... show yourself OH MIGHTY GREAT ONE.

There we go again; sorry the whatever up there never had a son, let alone a wife unless you can prove so; neither does sperm fall out of the sky and smack into a carpenters woman with her legs up in the air. Wow X-Mas is as matter of fact a pagan festivity I guess the "blob" (or the writers) up there made sure it timed with the little ta ta baby who could not walk on water for another 25 years.. When are you going to grow up? Just be thankful that you are allowed to write all your nonsense and can live in la la land; just put up your pagan X-Mas tree, eat yourself full of stuffed turkey and pray to the walls of your house and salute your "blessed" army medals.
    I'm proud of you!!

PGR don't worry AMC goes to "heaven" for sure, even after "black Fryday" . Too bad the "turkey" has no "heaven" regardless if its belly is stuffed.
I just talked to the Pope, he said he's a bit getting fed up doing every year the same stupid thing; he rather has a burrito and a shake. But he said as well because of "evolution" that he can now maintain a tab of people who are giving the most donations, so they are sure of a first class ticket to whatever planet "heaven" resides on. ( Of course enough legroom and champagne; however once you'r dead you do not need legroom and champagne just runs straight through your invisible air buble) I sure hope AMC prays enough; too bad the "prayers" are just air vibrations who die as well in one hundreds of a second. I wish him a super turkey day; millions of people are not so lucky and have to sow jeans for the turkey eaters that day.

Here is a very timely article on how religion hurts society. It's a must read for the few religiously brainwashed amongst us here. Note - religion doesn't necessarilly have anything to do with believing in a creator, religion is about selling snake oil to the brainwashed, simpleminded believers of whatever they are pushing.

Thanks PGR; right on the "money". I guess people must be awful dumb to promote a "baby" who fills its diapers to a "god"; sorry to say as in a "thread" before: Babies are born as "atheists" the same applies to the Jesus baby; however I still wonder who taught "it" to walk on water( I guess "it" was gay, running around with "male writers"; but lately new "evidence?" claims "he" was married and had two "holy" kids ) Must have been an translation mistake or a mistake by the writer; pedal boards were not invented yet, or they tied a bunch of bamboo sticks together and pedalled it.
May be AMC can produce a Jesus selfie in his "jalaba" on this contraption.

While many are eating a large Thanksgiving meal and enjoying family, please think about the homelessness in America, especially the children. One in 30 children were homeless last year, so it may be many more this year as the counters tally up the ranks of homelessness.

    http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/Homelessness-hits-one-in-30-US-children/ar-BBekEKV?ocid=ansnewsafp11

The above news link on msn.com show details a report which is very festive as the seasons come to count our blessings and ponder the thoughts on those with less. America spends way too much energy blaming one another for everything on religion, crime, politics, faith, and lifestyles, but refuse to think about the helpless and poor that are not even a part of the math in an argument. Yes, your energies are misspent on forgetting those that need your help the most.

Enjoy whatever you do on Thanksgiving, but at least think about those that need your help.

Beautiful!, however it is also "God's" will and "it's" blessings will do wonders. May be the Pope can sell some of his gold laced robes or even some Michael Angelo paintings; as well do something with all the tax free money instead of building more churches on prime tax free land. At least in The Netherlands they convert the churches into apartments for the poor.

There is more more religion in the Netherlands than you think! Even though you may believe what you desire to know about the Netherlands, you do not indicate knowing much about religion in Dutch-land. You rant on the military, but the Netherlands has a very professional military and they are even intercepting the Russians as they prey on traffic in the sky. So, I do not hold much belief in that you are the smartest individual on the Netherlands.

    Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
