Two unknowns are battling it out for the Senate seat in Georgia. David Perdue (R) and Michelle Nunn (D) have both never held office before, but both have put together strong campaigns, and its coming down to the wire in their race tonight.

Actually, many are projecting this to be one of only a few races that looks destined to be close enough that it will turn into a run-off that won't resolve itself until likely January of 2015. But, that remains to be seen.

Early, early results (just now coming in, currently only 4%) show Perdue with a lead. But its a long night ahead for these two candidates, in a race that could potentially be a deciding factor for which party wins/maintains overall Senate majority control. Battleground Georgia indeed.
