According to 60 minutes...... the incredibly high cost of Cancer meds is the leading reason for bankruptcy in the US. But because of lobbyist, there's no negotiation of pharmaceutical costs in the US. Every other civilized nation in the world negotiates pharmaceutical costs but not the USA. If you or a family member gets cancer, the medical cost could easily be over 100,000.00 per year. If you need 2 meds the cost could approach 250,000.00 which means if you have 80% coverage...... your share could be as much as 50,000.00 per year.

13 minute video covers 60 minutes story on this very important topic.

This could have an effect on any or perhaps even most of us. For your better understanding on the topic.... I suggest that everyone watches.

Yes Tony; this fits right in with the culture here; they say in Dutch: "De eene z'n brood is de andere z'n dood" which means if you earn bread on the table it my it may cause someone elses death. A typical example is our Governor in FL ; his company overcharged via his hospitals billions; he pleaded the "fifth" and got of "scott" free and is now governor. That is how it works here. One big corrupt country!!!!!

The main problem is that this can ruin many, many families through no actions made by choice. If there is some possible way...... the rules must be changed for pharmaceutical companies. Nobody regrets them recovering their investments but at a point, what's best for the public should be an important consideration. I fear for those who will die because they can't afford their medicine any longer. How sad !

Tony, a typical example what happened to my wife's sister; she has cancer and was invited to participate into a drug experiment paid for by the insurance; we dug up this company and found out that they lost millions on this drug which did not work and tried via these methods to recover their cost.
Also my neighbor in VA was a lobbyist for a big drug company who had his garage stacked full with boxes of drugs and gave these free away to all our senators. That is how it works.
