Chelsea Clinton just gave birth to a daughter. They are naming her Charlotte. Got me thinking, seriously, does this change anyone's opinion, for better or worse, on Hilary Clinton running in 2016, now that she is a grandmother?

I don't think that we have ever had a grandparent to run for office. (correct me if I am wrong. At least not in modern times) Does Hilary now being a grandparent inherently do anything to the way that you look at her as a presidential candidate, either positive or negative?

The knock on her already (among other things from the right of course) was that she is getting up there in age. Something like this will of course be more fuel for Fox New's fires. But, that's whatever. Hate machine spins on no matter what. What I am interested in is there anyone on the left that hears this and thinks, 'man, a grandmother as the Commander-In-Chief, I don't know about that....' Doesn't really bother me one way or the other. Just more curious than anything. I suppose I can think of legit pros/cons either way. Something about age, wisdom, and strong family values vs age, past mental prime, and divided with priorities.

For someone that seems to have the Dem ticket all but in lock for 2016, does make me wonder.. does this change anyone's opinion of her at all?

NO, I'd still vote for her over any Republican!

Congratulations to the Clintons on the birth of their first Grandaughter and congratulations also to Chelsea and her husband on the birth of their first child, everything involving the Clintons is not always political so let the proud grandparents and parents enjoy the moment without bringing politics into it.

It is not 2016 yet; since we are very busy with "no wars"? things may change in a huge way which will affect if she runs at all.

Former Bush speech writer posted this on Twitter

“Chelsea was going to have a Hispanic boy named Orlando -but while the overnights were positive, it just didn’t focus group”.

Remember when MSNBC's Melissa Harris Perry was fired for making comments about Mitt Romney's grandson?

We can all expect more of this from our friends on the right as we approach the 2016 elections.
