Yes Bob; the worst part of it, no one knows what he was talking about; others wrote that down 40 or more years after his death. So your sentence should say : what a certain "writer" said; what may be (not proven) what someone else may have said. May be you realize that religion creates evil, because it wants power over the people; they love non thinking "robots"

Christian non-violence? Is that similar to Military Intelligence?

I guess the fanatic Christians use this happening to promote themselves; they actually thrive by it. Just check their bankaccounts.

Hi pgr: (ha ha) That was terrific. Christian non-violence being equivalent to "Military Intelligence."

It is terribly sad that a so-called "Christian Nation" is going to be at the fore-front of one of the largest wars on the planet.

The USA is not a Christian nation, it's a country run by would be Christians, for Christians and, of course, the Koch Bros.

Sorry you got it wrong ask Eternal or AMC; our national slogan is (even on our money) is " In "god" we thrust; so the unseen, never heard of human designed imaginary entity runs this country and we "thrust" that this entity floating somewhere in outerspace has time for us while trying to control the universe with a billion floating things in it. Even the Koch brothers can't match that. However nowadays a long dead human by the name of Jesus seems to have taken over that job; so don't worry this helium filled dead guy has time enough to run this world. Wow; keep on praying!!

Hey Dutch, I hope you don't find those Pearly Gates locked up tight when you get up there (assuming you are going up, not down). After all, flying around in Heaven aimlessly for eternity will be out of reach for you. I guess you will just end up turning over on the spit down under for eternity! I'll still light a candle for you and fondle my Rosary Beads as I recite my prayers, just in case - one never knows about these things for sure, does one.

Wow; you finally seen the light on the end of the tunnel? Sorry it is a high speed train ( if they have these here at all) I tested my helium filled balloon with a dead turkey in it (just to test the Jesus uprising); it reached 30,000ft then blew up and the turkey ended up going through the roof of a church, but stayed very dead; the pastor did eat it but died later because of swallowing the bone splinters. I absolutely don't care to be burning on a spit; I won't feel a thing. Neither does anything wants to eat the sharred carcass of me (very smelly) except may be a FL crocodile. About the "gates" yes I have the "key" it is the same as the one for my car. Rosary Beads? Can you eat those and get high?

The subject was Christian Nation; wow, I guess that's why we bomb other thinking people all the time and have food drives for the poor because the rich Christians makes them poor and make also lots of money on our endless wars, which has become a national hobby. The Pentagon wants to recruit 15000 more soldiers I read ; you can't meet anyone here or he or she has connections with the army; militarism and religion goes hand in hand here.
However Christian principals are twisted and turned to suit all kind of purposes; bombing others is glorified; so these hypocrites claim they are Christian but are actually so indoctrinated that wars and shooting are part of the religion. This country does not need an imaginary "god" but a "huge phychiatrist" instead.

This is true Bob Ryan. Jesus Christ was a man of peace, and non violence. I know many Christians who are on the left politically, and they give credibility to the faith. To many on the right who claim to practice the faith use the faith as a weapon itself to demean others. While I'm not a practicing Christian, I did grow up in a Christian home in the south, and was taught the golden rule, and to love my brother as I love myself. ;D

I know a few people who think that Islam is a religion of killers, but the fact of the matter is that Christianity is the deadliest religion the world has ever seen. The article below goes into more details on a period of time called the Crusades:

As for the folks who think that this is a Christian nation (it isn't, of course) the article below may help clear things up:

Guy; wow, I always thought that their own invented "god's" were always on their side; kind of strange that these imaginary figures did not do the fighting for them. I guess if "jesus" could see the present world and its "wars" he would die laughing.

Yeah, you are absolutely right. I'll attend immediately if they serve weed and vodka and fried camel dung. What system do dead people use? T Mobile, Verizon, ATT? Then I'll give "it" a call. May be way by now his few left disolved bones can no longer pick up the heavenly phone so I give up.
