Representative Peter King blasted President Obama for wearing a tan suit to a press conference yesterday.

"There's no way any of us can excuse what the president did yesterday," King told J.D. Hayworth on "America's Forum" on Newsmax TV Friday.

"You have the whole world watching, you have a week, two weeks of anticipation of what the United States is going to do and then for him to walk out – I'm not trying to be trivial here – but in a light suit, light tan suit, saying that first he wants to talk about what most Americans care about, and he said that's the vision of the second-quarter numbers on the economy," King said.

King also hit Obama on his "not having a strategy", which admittedly was a poor choice of words. What Obama meant was that we don't have an agreed path forward when the situation is still murky and the pentagon is still fact finding and weighing options on a complex situation in flux.

I just wish George Bush would have thought things out a little more before launching us into the Iraq war based on sketchy and inconclusive data.

But getting back to Obama's tan suit. Peter King is not alone in condemning Obama for his choice of attire. Several Republicans followed the same line. I guess that's what they do...always...

But they're also ganging up on Michelle Obama for "being too fat"...really! Tiny minds.

    Welcome to the club, Michelle.

Why does the Media even bother reporting this crap, it is not news, and I can't believe that it might be considered entertaining by the industry, BTW. there is now more information about a greater number of Americans joining ISIS as fighters/terrorists, report on that instead of the color of a mans skin ,oops I mean suit.

Just another way to pick at Obama as a person. It's what Fox News wants to dedicate 90% of their programming to. Picking on him for wardrobe choice... must've been a lighter docket in the spin zone room the last few days.

There's a whole group of people that believe he is an illegal immigrant and many more that are devoted to making President Obama' "a one term President". Just goes to show how many ignorant people there are and worse is some of them are in Congress. I just laugh and leave whenever I hear the off color jokes and lies being spread. They know I'm not laughing at their jokes, I'm laughing at them for being just ridiculously insane.

I beginning to think this is a communicable disease, which is why I am very vocal exhibiting how Democratic and Blue I am. I've even brought out my card carrying DNC Member card to show these idiots. So, what are we to do with all these idiots walking around. I like to get them stirred up, steaming hot with anger, and than inform them where the nearest hospital may be. They clearly need help. I also enjoy the Limbaugh bunch because they are so egg headed misinformed zombies of the Republicans and Tea partiers. I'll accept an Independent, but only as far as understanding what side of the fence they straddle.

Having a news story on a tan suit................I don't get it! Who cares? Didn't these people get enough bad clothes on the Emmy's this week? Michelle is too fat........I don't get that either. Those Congressmen that are making fun of Michelle must be the same ones making fun of Congresswomen about being too porky. Congressional candidates should be evaluated better for sanity and ethical values. I'm afraid if mandatory evaluations were too take place, most all candidates and those in office would not qualify.

It shows that people here are "mieren neukers" ( ant f....ers); I can also see that on the news or on this site; spending an awful lot of time and words on details, not the main issues. For instance the going on for weeks of the thing in Furgeson; on and on etc. forever; but seldom looking at the main issue or solving such. The same is the case in Iraq; 999 generals are discussing this, but probably played too much with their gun collections and standing in front of the mirror loving themselves with all the colorful badgets, stripes, medals, flag logo's etc.,but never studied the middle east. So no wonder Obama has no plan for it. I guess as a diversion tactic he bought a new suit; wow, (kidding) No I pity this country about its "detail" oriented minds, without just concentrating on the main issues. Sometimes I get drawn in it as well, but often I see a "million" word threads, which could have been written in one sentence; must be the "lawyer" rub-off here. Or is it the "schooling" ; always beat around the bush.

I forgot to mention that Obama said; that he had no "strategy" yet on how to deal with ISIS (especially in Syria) . Of course the GOP made a big deal out of that. In my opinion may be he should not have said that, but kept that for himself, so the GOP could not "feast" on that. However I fully agree that a strategy in this situation with that many factions involved is like Russian roulette; whoever sides you choose in this situation may be the wrong party afterwards and may backfire, The problem with the military as well the police here, they are very slow to adapt to changing situations; why? because we have become a "paper" tiger; rules, laws, lawyers run the show here ; not common sense. As well we have become way too much detail oriented.

I'm sure Obama wants a clear picture, but won't get it because of the bulk of generals are either ex. Vietnam, (also Kerry, McCain) Iraq, Afghanistan etc. Which wars were from a strategy point of view a total disaster. Therefore his "advisors" are useless in this situation. The media follows that same pattern; they invite only the military, or ex military for comments; always the same nutheads. If Obama follows such pattern as well then no wonder he will be up the creek without a paddle.

Yes, his choice of words was regrettable. What he should have said is that "we don't have an agreed strategy with Congress still on vacation. We have a range of alternatives that are continually being modified by events on the ground. We're not going to rush in and do stupid stuff".

I agree that focusing on the tan suit is silly. Obviously, I'll need to dig my tan suit out of the closet, and start wearing it on occasion to achieve "solidarity" with the President.

The suit, however, would not be an issue if we didn't have a "tan President"

I recall commenting to my wife how much I liked the tan suit. Glad to see the opposite reaction from Congressman Peter King, the most boneheaded reactionary blow hard out there, excepting Donald Trump.

Obama is travelling to Europe today to meet with NATO; I hope he does not go there in his underwear only. I suggest that he borrows a suit of one of the 9999 generals; full with badgets stripes and a dozen flags and gold sleeves; that may impress the NATO gang. But it may get the Pentagon upset, because they think they are in charge of this country; of course Obama is accompanied by a few NSA, CIA spy chiefs, who in the hallways will intercept telephone calls to Merkel; at least if you have such a plane then you never should travel alone!! No fights about "knee" room I presume!!
