I'm interested to learn who might be a contender for the next Presidential election cycle. Please feel free to illuminate your suggestion.

For the Dems, no one that has showed interest has really caught my eye. I'm not a huge fan of Hillary Clinton, I feel she epitomizes the Washington insider/lifelong politician that I feel is more damaging to our country than beneficial.

For the Reps, I really have no clue. The GOP has been pushing forward borderline crazy extremists to represent them recently (Bachmann, Palin, Perry, Huckabee, Cain) and it's been hard to gauge what kind of crazy they are going to push forth next. I think Jon Huntsman would be a really healthy choice for Reps.

Sounds good to me. Thanks for the nomination! Heavy lies the crown though... So I may reconsider if it gets too serious.

I would go with Huntsman if he were on the ballot. there are many good politicians out there on both sides. I think the biggest hurdle is convincing them that being president is a better job than what they are currently doing. Speaking for myself, I would never want to be president. It is a thankless job and you hafta be a little strange to even contemplate running.

No...Jared will be your Vice Prez and Zach will be Sec. of State....You then could open our borders, save the rain forest, cure cancer, make 90% of our budget welfare and lets save the world slush fund.... A perfect society brought on by the white man (once again) the savior of the planet

Exactly! As Vice President, my major legislative priority will be protecting the rain forest that covers so much of the continental United States. Then I would push the craziest of ideas like investing in scientific research and having a realistic immigration law. Once we accomplish all of that, I will use the enormous power the Vice President wields to mandate that 90 percent of our entire Federal Budget is spent on welfare.

With that aside, I like Warren. I have always liked Warren and I will always like Warren. She's a true liberal and someone I closely associate with. Some may call me naive, but we had a progressive revolution in this country one hundred years ago and we are well past due for another one.

Elizabeth Warren would make one of the best Presidents ever. But, she has no chance - to many under informed, low information voters who are too busy fighting over nonsense like gay marriage and abortion instead of realizing who is really on their side and who the others represent. Huntsman is the only Republican that could make a semi decent President but he is bogged down with his religion and typical right-wing lack of understanding about what and why people really need and how to provide it. I could some day see him waking up to the failed Conservative Republican agenda and slapping himself on the head saying "How did I fall for all this garbage?" And converting to Liberal Progressivism. If nothing else, he is far more intelligent than any other a republican candidate I've seen in the past.

Warren has repeatedly said that she's not running, but, all politicians lie. Maybe she'll be talked into it.

America wasn't ready for a black president 6 years ago either, as someone pointed out earlier on this forum, so who knows?

We have 2 1/2 years to go, and what looks likely right now (Hillary) may not happen at all. Hillary looked likely 2 1/2 years before the 2008 election, and how'd that work out?

I agree with PGR. Elizabeth Warren would be my first choice, but she would have a hard time raising her recognition profile at the same time Republicans would be attacking her.

I also agree that of all the Republican candidates out there, the only one that speaks common sense and is not intimidated by the far right crazies is Jon Huntsman.

Oh and he raised his daughter, Abby, quite well. Abby is on MSNBC's week day program The Cycle.

Definitely not George Clooney. with his new fiancé' (rolling eyes)which is obviously a political move, and I do not want to see a Middle Eastern first lady.
OK so he is interested in congress, political movies..........still, too much power to help shift public opinion..... :(:(:(
