Mass shooting at a FedEx Building in Georgia

    Add another tally to the number of mass shootings in the US. This time in Kennesaw, Georgia. Six people have been rushed to the hospital. Two are in critical condition. The shooter is dead.

    Appears the gunman also had a few explosive devices but never used them. Two people are still in critical condition in the hospital. Only one dead is the gunman who committed suicide.

    Also, been doing some research on the gun laws of the area, and there is an 1982 law that requires residents to own firearms.

    As goofy as the law seems to be, crime rates in Kennesaw are apparently well below the national average, and there are lots of loopholes in the law that would allow somebody like me to avoid owning a gun:

    My family and I actually went to Kennesaw about 20 years ago - to view the laser light show at Stone Mountain. Although the whole thing sounds a bit hokey, I'll have to admit that I got tears in my eyes when Elvis sang "Dixie", and the three Confederate war heroes (Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, and Jefferson Davis) galloped off the mountain:
