You must have missed last nights game when the Padres whupped the Dodgers, the highest paid team in baseball. And it happened in San Diego USA. So that means that three teams had already played official regular season games prior to today...DBacks, Dodgers, and Padres.

Today is the opening day for MOST teams.

Opening in Australia should be outlawed.

Today was supposed to be Opening Day for MLB, and it would have been one of the earliest on record.

Due to the coronavirus though, the crack of the bat and the roar of the crowd will have to wait for another day.

Espn is replaying the 2019 Homerun derby at 6:00 pm. No mention of live games but perhaps they just don't have the contract to televise. I will be interested to see what decision is made. We shall see. I am skeptical that full stadiums will be there. Television only is a possibility. A quick scan of the TV shows stationed or scheduled (on shows no games on network TV today or tomorrow. Weekend ?

Mid May. Maybe even later. Wow, that's a surprise.
