Assistant professor of philosophy Lawrence Torcello says that all who disagree with him should be jailed. To hell with this bastard! Fortunately the University he teaches at has both an Army and Air Force ROTC program. I hope the ROTC gangs up on him!

Actually, I agree with him. Global warming deniers should be jailed, just like the scientists who were jailed AFTER an earthquake that they did not communicate the risks of. So, AFTER global warming kills all life on Earth we can jail the deniers for criminal negligence since they did not tell us there was a risk of it happening. Since, from my limited understanding of the law, you can't charge a person with criminal negligence before the act they were negligent about actually happens... In this case I'll quote liberals in regards to Bush's claims about WMD's and Nukes in Iraq... "Where's the smoking gun?" Until the event happens, as with the scientists prior to the earthquake, let them be free and do their jobs.

This is a tongue in cheek post, I presume?

If not, stop showing your naivety about life in general and put your education to date to good use instead of making yourself look like a compleat fool!

Indeed you are on the wrong track; Army nor Airforce education does not belong in schools; you should be trained for a civil society job instead, so you can help this society to improve family life and environment. Any training as pictured in your attachments is absolutely deplorable; no camouflage uniforms are required in civil life. Neither helicopters who are only used and painted as war machines but not used for civil transport. This is called indoctrination; sick indeed.

Wrong, there are several civilian careers that require the wearing of camouflaged uniforms.........police, FBI, DHS, Forest Service, photographers capturing wildlife.......heck, even kids now find it fashionable to wear camo's. I saw a runway event with pleasantly good-looking models dressed in camo's advertising fashion.

As far as the military-training............you would be surprised how many Fortune 500 companies and corporations require this training. In fact, they even send there employees to refresher training to acquaint them on the finer arts of military training. ROTC and other youth-minded training in colleges and High Schools are used greatly in America. Without this type training, many employees are handicapped in having to succeed in their careers. Military training teaches teamwork and team building structures in organizations. It does have it's place. Dutch, you need to get out more often and quit blaming the military for everything wrong. On the gun issues, I do agree with you, but the military type instruction is not always about the gun.

No, you are wrong. The military creates followers, not leaders. The military has no use for people who want to think for themselves. The whole point of the military is follow orders and don't ask questions - your superiors know what us best! In a way you are correct about big business embracing the same military philosophy. Very few corporations want leaders or innovators (other than in their R & D departments). They want followers who adhere to the company line, for better or worse. If it helps the corp make money it's good, if it cost them money it's bad - those are the only criteria. The customer is not king only a sucker to be fleeced as much as the market will bear.

Okay, PGR, shall we list how many Presidents of the United States, the LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD, were military? Or better yet, how many DEMOCRAT (LIBERAL) Presidents were military? Sure, the military creates followers and everyone knows the President is a follower, just look at Obama, the 'follower' of the Liberals.

Looks to me like the wannabe young marine has a real personality problem, a typical misfit hoping to have the military turn him into a real man. You should fit right in with the military though (if you don't get hit by "friendly fire" first that is).

Are you telling up that "leaders of the free world" as you put it are people that we should blindly support and follow? George Bush jr comes to mind as a real military type leader of the free world - look what he did to this country!

PS Rambo, in case you don't realize it, Obama is a middle of the road Republican, circa 1960, NOT a Progressive Liberal by any definition!

I never said he didn't have a right to his opinion, I said he has a lot of growing up to do before anything he says will be taken seriously by adults.

You said it, not me, but they do have an unwritten code to take care of those that don't follow their "way". Friendly fire - ever hear of it?

He is not labeling "people" (as plural) a misfit. He is labeling him a misfit. Judging how he has portrayed himself in these few words shared. Can you blame him?

Someone who in one of their first sentences of their point making says, "to hell with the bastard" does not come off as an adult sharing their belief. It comes off as childish and disrespectful.
