On the news there is already a lot of discussion about the mid-term elections; one of the questions was; what will the Democrats do to bolster their lousy image right now.
For instance; is Obama Care being used against us? The "ratings" of Obama himself? Our foreign policies? The promises made by Obama to; close Guantanamo prison camp, get out of Afghanistan, gun laws? Polarization in Washington? Obstructions of the "tea" party? Big money " gap" between rich and poor? Food stamps? Unemployment money? Term limits (never discussed)? Election money (what I call pure corruption right now). Infrastructure money?
Stopping and not starting new wars? Sorry but I have a list a mile long; like stopping the lobbyist money flow, honesty for a change, strict budget controls for every department, we need new real "brains" in Washington; not dumb ego tripping bureaucrats, who only got their education in the Vietnam war. etc etc. etc.

Why are Democrats so negative on their prospects this Mid Term? I think Mitch McConell, Senator from Kentucky, is a loser this time around. Kentucky's Governor, a Democrat, embraced the Affordable Health Care Act so now there an awful lot of appreciative voters seeing a doctor for the first time in their lives. These Kentuckians may not buy Mitch's call for repeal of Obamacare from his Country Club Republican perch in the Senate. On the other hand Democrat Kay Hagan defending her Senate seat in North Carolina just got handed a beautiful sledge hammer to smash the GOP stranglehold in NC with the Crony Capitalist accusation against the Republican Governor and former employee of Duke Energy protecting that very same employer from a Judgement against them by using State Government regulators to defend Duke's recent and huge coal ash spill despoiling Carolina's beautiful habitat.

Yesterdays announcement by the White House that 8 Million have registered for the Affordable Care Act shows how tone deaf to its constituents needs the GOP is. How much longer can Red State Leaders keep their citizens on plantation with their deny health and promote wealth message?

speaking as a resident of a Red State...they can continue until the cows come home. The only items necessary for election in this area is a lapel pin with a cross or flag (one with both is really best), tell everyone you are a Christian conservative and will immediately repeal Obamacare...instant election..even if you were running for dog catcher. The chorus of not wanting any federal interference is constant...while ignoring the fact that my state receives $1.70 for every $1.00 sent in tax...and we would sink without those federal funds. Facts have no influence. I wish I could say that we will be overtaken by a burst of intelligence...but I'm not holding my breath.
