It was a heck of a long day, but Dale Earnhardt, Jr. crossed the line first to capture his second ever Daytona 500 victory. Thunderstorms caused the longest ever rain delay in Daytona 500 history, but nothing was going to stop Earnhardt, Jr. from capturing the crown. This one probably means the most because his father's number 3 car was run for the first time since his tragic death in 2001.

Did anyone watch the race tonight? Are you happy that Dale Earnhardt, Jr. won or were you rooting for another driver to cross the finish line first?

I watched the race until the rain delay. Then I watched golf and got hooked on it...some spectacular golf shots out of the cacti patches near Tucson.

    Jason Day won.

I'm not a big Earnhardt Jr. fan, but I guess I'm glad that he won. His career has been less decorated than initially expected. It's got to be tough following a legend though. Good job Dale !!!!! He makes some very funny commercials.

It's about time! 1 out of 55 isn't bad. Go him!
