'NASCAR' has always been one of the most watched sports in America. It seems to embody almost everything you would want out of an outdoor event. There's an abundance of food, drinks, roaring motors, and thousands of hyped up fans to top it all off. Although this sport, like all sports, slowly change in time. With rules and regulations getting more tight nit and seemingly ridiculous sometimes. This year 'NASCAR' has changed its Sprint Cup Chase playoff format and has attempted to deliver more 'excitement' to the event. One of the major changes they have made is the number of drivers from 12 to 16 adding greater pressure to win in regular season races. With that change, eliminations would start after the third race, sixth race, and ninth, so the tenth race (held in Florida) would be the finale. This change has had mixed reviews, with some saying it doesn't take into consideration the drivers actual skill during the season. Jimmy Johnson's reply to the change, "we all know that change needs to happen."
