There will potentially be a boxing match held between George Zimmerman, the killer of 17 year old Trayvon Martin, and an opponent selected at random. He has been quoted saying that he will box any "black" person. Certain sources say it is for "charity". George Zimmerman is to be compensated if this match goes into play.

This is not only immoral, but DISRESPECTFUL not only to the Martin family, but African Americans everywhere. This is a mockery of civil rights, and a direct violation of the integrity of the Martin family. This is the media justifying the killing of an innocent child by glorifying the murderer. This match is to be referred to as a "celebrity boxing match". Since when were murderers considered celebrities? He shall be awarded fame for slaying an unarmed teen?

Please if you agreed with or even slightly agreed with any of the points I have just made, click the link provided to sign the petition to boycott this boxing match! Do not allow this to go into play for the sake and the decency of African Americans, or any previously oppressed people, period!

Trevons mistake was that he was unable to foresee that Zimmerman had a gun.....if unarmed, he would have never approached him. A mistake too many young kids make....... Let him box and become brain dead from a right cross

He is not a murderer so says the jury and they are the determining body that decided that issue, whether he boxes or not is not anyone else business however if you feel this is something that is disrespectful to Tryvon's memory or family, then don't watch the event or don't patronize those companies, I wouldn't watch it because I don't like those type of shows, but one thing you shouldn't do is to bring more attention to the event by submitting petitions or protesting the event itself, ignoring this event will go a lot further than your cries of injustice, there was a small town here in Pa. where the KKK had submitted the required papers for a march and recruitment drive, the township gave them the permit, but not one townsperson showed up for the march other than selected law enforcement personnel and obviously no one was recruited, this was several years ago and the KKK has not been back to that township yet, the Media left very disappointed I was told.

Andrea you ask ..."Since when were murderers considered celebrities?"... Since October 3rd, 1995. O.J. Simpson was a murderer (allegedly) and a celebrity many years ago. Probably others before that, but O.J. is the most famous recent example. Charles Manson may be another, so it's not a new concept.

Read johnny's reply and he is correct. OJ and Zimmerman were both found "not guilty" by a jury so legally that is the last word. Much of America considers them both guilty, but they both had their day in court, and now we should respect the verdict. Some people never will, of course.

OJ and Zimmerman seem to have followed similiar questionable paths since their acquittals. You would think that they would want to keep out of trouble and out of the spotlight, but both have done the opposite. OJ is rotting away in a jail cell, but for a different incident, and Zimmerman looks as though he could suffer the same fate.

If Zimmerman does get his boxing match hopefully he will draw a young Mike Tyson-like person who will beat him into submission.

I consider George Z. to be an uncommitted murderer. And if the story noted above is true - he's an idiot as well. I hope he gets his ass seriously kicked. I hope he feels serious pain. But it will never approach the pain that he inflicted upon the Martin family. Karma has a way of catching up to you. One day he'll get his.

Tony ..."One day he'll get his"... Yes he will and that day is apparently coming, and soon, I hope.

DMX is the winner. He is America's "Great Black Hope" and I don't know anything about him except he is a rapper, and an actor, and hopefully a very skilled boxer. I think about 99% of America will be on his side and while I don't want to see GZ killed or suffer permanent injury (OK part of me does) I would love to see a one sided beat-down. A Super Bowl style ass-kicking.

Anyone know anything about DMX? All I know is he has multiple arrests, but what rapper doesn't?
