You miss the factual point. We pay for our government. They do not have the authority to do what they did. The NSA just decided it would arbitrarily break the laws, regulations, constitutional authority without any consideration of accountability. They weren't even afraid of getting caught......Just blame snowden

Is this a case of two wrongs make it right, Snowden did what he did, which was wrong, because he felt that what the Government was doing was wrong also . So this might be a case of the ends justifies the means.

I just thought I would give you a line in this..... People kill not guns. I am not against gun control but you give the same old adages that guns kill. well anything can be use to kill people if these persons want to do it. Bombs,(Just like in Boston) cars, trucks, tanks, baseball bats, etc. Law-abiding citizen and the public has no fear of us.
We use guns for self defense against criminals, hunting, competitive shooting and will be used against tyrannical government. Gun ownership is a right under the Second admendment to defend against a tyrannical government. Stiffer Punishment under the law for crimes committed against our fellow man whether it be rape murder of even robbery. That would be a good start. Effective gun control would be based on true evidence and not motivated by fear. Background checks would be helpful. Criminal background would be nice, Even psych evaluation. Waiting period before purchasing a gun I have no problem with either.

My Friend just to bring back to part of tyrannical government that day is coming. Drone attacks on our citizens and the government buying surplus amounts of ammunition so that it becomes harder for people to buy ammunition. National Guard is training for Martial Law. Certain Members in Congress are trying to repeal the Constitutional Admendment limiting the Maximum number of years the President can serve. The time has ran out for this to be achieved because it would have to be ratified by 2/3 of the states.
This present administration wants to declare Martial Law. Under martial Law there can be no elections, so President Obama can continue to be President.

Sorry my friend the USA was specifically formed as to NOT BE a theocracy as you state you would like to see in your "political beliefs". If you want to live in a theocracy I suggest you visit a Muslim country first and try living there as a Christian. I suspect living in a theocracy will begin to look very un appealing to you quite rapidly.

As for gun control, no reasonable person can accept the publics right, not to mention need, to own as many guns as they can much less open carry or worse concealed carry of handguns.

You're living in your own little world of deception, I fear! Stop watching a Faux NotNews for starters!

I suggest you visit a "specialist" I guess you want your guns to get rid of a tyranical government as you said; so in other words you hope this happens so you can shoot anyone you don't like, otherwise like you said it is no use to have a bunch of guns. Wow; ever heard of "voting" to get the government you want and deserve?

For once this time, I agree with both of you Dutch & PGR. Being called by you two as too scared to walk out the door, I had to defend myself, however, this guy you discuss does exhibit a character worthy of NSA monitoring. It's probably happening, because I'm sure our brothers and sisters in the NSA are reading everything that goes on in the Democratic Hub. It's a perfect forum to monitor the questionable behavior of mankind. I just accept it and support strict gun control legislation, monitoring of America and of course, because of this guy, mental health initiatives.

This freedom to express on the Democratic Hub works. We can all have different views and opinions, and have a little fun with each other. We can even have several moments of agreement.........amazing.

Do we need the NSA? YES. I'm not asking for miracles here. I ask that the law be followed. They wrote it.

Weird answer; a lot of people need glasses or hearing aids; if someone pulls out a lollipop shoot immediately; sorry guns should not be allowed in public places; full stop. Who has the guts in this country to make that law.?

I think that mostly everyone here on the Hub knows my stand regarding gun issue's, however I firmly believe that anyone who purchases a hand gun or long gun for that fact, should attend a certain amount of hours regarding weapon safety and the use of deadly force and the liability issues involved with the use of weapons that result in injury or death.

Yes; I guess they only learned to shoot to kill (army background) they seldom shoot just on the legs or arms; that is what is wrong with this country, versus Europe; just about all ex-military here, which is the wrong background for a civil job. They have very little social training and act like bullies; like if we are the enemy, while we are paying them. Very weird indeed.
