If you need some extra spending money and you're feeling really lucky..... Warren Buffet might be able to help you out.
Chances are though that he won't. There's several shows talking about the absurd things that are more likely to happen to
you. But if you become the lucky one and you spend 5 - 10 minutes making some guesses..... it might be your day.

    Online.

They should be available on, or shortly after Selection Sunday when the teams are plugged into the brackets. About the middle of March.

    unitedmajority,
[/quote] where do you get the forms?

Link is above. On March 16 (teams selected) or March 17-ish you'll need to pick the winners of 63 games. ** GOOD LUCK **
I wouldn't wait too long to register. Contestants are limited to the first 15 million people who sign up. Normally you wouldn't expect 15 million to try to win a contest. However, the prize is HUGE, as are the odds of winning. Since it cost nothing to play, all you have to lose is the time you spend making picks. Being a sharing guy, I signed my wife up also so now we'll have two chances in a zillion. The picks can be made in 6 or 7 days. I would expect that you'll get an e mail with details and/or a link to the contest. Don't forget, the chances of a perfect bracket a slim. However, the top 20 not perfect brackets will win 100,000.00 each. That could buy you something nice or eliminate much debt.

Commercials are on television for this contest

Above is for anyone who is interested in doing a bracket but doesn't know a lot about college basketball. It has the various teams and their Vegas odds of winning the tournament. No hits on this topic so I'll let it go unless it gains any interest.

...and after just half of the first round (the 4 play in games don't count) we had a whole bunch of major upsets. According to CBS more than 99% of the brackets are already busted.

And that's with only half the teams having played their first game. After the rest get done today, the other 1% of the brackets could very well be toast!

Very first game: KABOOM! Ohio State go home, it was nice knowing you.

The only thing predictable about this tournament is the unpredictability, because this happens EVERY year.

That's why they call it March Madness.

Everybody lost. Buffet's money is safe. 20 can still win 100,000.00

Agreed, Ohio State lost to Dayton, Oklahoma lost to North Dakota state, Cincinnati lost to Harvard. Those were the 3 biggest surprises of the day. I expect today will have more unexpected finishes. That's why Warrens money is safe. Plus being a smart man, he had Quicken loans take a share of the responsibility. He bought a bond to insure the payout in the unlikely event of a win. He's cashing in on the publicity of a bet where the odds were soooo in his favor. That's the beauty of smaller schools making the tournament. On any given day, any team can win. Basketball, Baseball, and Hockey have a tournament. If college Football did, can you imagine the cost of the television contract ? It could fund many needs at universities. Not to mention the hotels, restaurants, rent a cars, etc. in cities that hosted the games. This year will start with 4 teams in a playoff. if it were larger, wow, that would be exciting.
I did about 8 brackets. Including one with crazy picks to try to anticipate that there will be upsets. None are perfect. I'm hoping for a consolation prize.
