The GOP ran Fox network has proven their viewers are ignorant to reality, or at least proven what Fox News believes it's viewers are, ignorant. Why and How you ask? Allow me to explain. I haven't seen this my self since I won't waste my time watching any Fox programing, but a friend of mine told me that Fox Network is having a field day mocking global warming with the record artic blast we are in. Making comments like, "where is our global warming now" and getting away with it, it appears, since apparently no one watching Fox knows the truth about what one or two degree of global temperature increase really means. "Hey GOP brainwashed, global warming does not mean we will be warm, it means we will have extreme weather patterns like the one we are in thanks to burning oil and coal." Wake up and smell the air pollution GOP! As for Fox Networks, "Fox can kiss my informed ass, and I will continue avoiding their Hitler media!!!" When the rest of the majority "stops" watching Fox programing, then the majority will have taken one step closer to the real facts of our system.

Here is another GOP myth buster:
I have been told that GOP myth media has been informing their viewers that "solar power requires a lot of silver to work and we are in a shortage of silver."
Allow me to bust this myth:
In the real word, solar on your home requires "zero" amount of silver. It is transformers used to store coal and oil produced electricity that use "a lot" of silver. If it wasn't for the deadly electricity guarding these transformers, they would be getting taken by thieves like hot cakes, but coal and oil electricity make these silver vaults unbreakable. Yes coal and oil use silver, solar does not. Does the truth hurt GOP? It shouldn't, it should make you see the truth about your sly Fox and the rest of your Hitler media out there.

Where is our global warming now?

I think most of America could use some warming, ANY kind of warming today.

It is ECONOMICS which will make solar panels successful. As long as it takes DECADES to get your payback for your investment on solar panels, they will not gain widespread acceptance. It has nothing to do with silver, gold, platinum or any other precious metal. It has everything to do with MONEY.

    When will people understand?

I just wonder; since half of the US is snowed under, then I think the solar panels are of no use, unless you climb on the roof and clean them off and then break your neck falling of the roof with frostbite and your carcass is then eaten by wolves!! Wow I love these panels to death!!!

Wow, I can't believe people still say such words as yours on this site" "Where is our global warming now?" PLEASE allow me to educate. EXTREME weather patterns, that is what we are in, that is YOUR global warming. A two degree increase in average temperature doesn't mean you will be hot, it means our weather will be extremes, extreme cold, extreme hot, extreme wind, extreme rain extreme snow extreme etc.

As for your knowledge of cost, you are living decades ago and getting your info from a sly fox. A solar system today is paid for in a couple years and you are getting free power EVERY year after that. No, the majority wouldn't want that lol, it is oil and their networks that don't want solar.

I didn't know snow stopped solar, someone better tell snowy Germany that, the world's leader of solar power usage for their electric grid. No, you don't need bright sun either, cloudy Germany is the world leader remember. While you guys put solar down I'm going to break the systems chains and get my power for FREE.

So I guess you tap your power line from the neighbors!! They are still wondering about their high bill!!! Any if you have the panels, a foot of snow or iced over will certainly reduce or stop power supply, also the bird shit and bullshit!!

There was a huge Dietz and Watson warehouse fire here on the east coast just recently that was caused by some type of build up under the Solar Panels on the roof. That was the first time I heard of any problems with a solar system, was this just a one time thing or has anyone else heard of something like this happening elsewhere.

united when I said "Where is our global warming now?" I was just poking a little fun at you. Those are your own words, as you can see from your own post, when you started this thread. Just look at the first post on this thread, it's right there.

I don't mean to make you mad and meant it as a joke so please don't take it so seriously.

Where is our global warming now? (that's just a joke, in case some don't understand)

united majority on the subject of solar systems for my house, I just spoke to my local solar system contractor, and I must say that you are right. And you are wrong, as usual. VERY WRONG.

When you say ..."a solar system today is paid for in a couple years"... THAT is the part where you are wrong but at least you are consistently wrong. You are ALWAYS wrong on this subject.

But the numbers are better than in the past. To cut my electric bill in half costs less than 5K now which is better than my last quote about 5 years ago. Payoff is estimated at nine years, which is better than last time. To get my bill down to or close to zero is less than 7K now and payoff is only thirteen years. Both are figured with the 30% tax credit. If my home was completely electric, payoff would be sooner. You may or may not know that many of us Americans have gas heat and gas water heaters.

A ..."couple years"... not hardly, but 9 or 13 years is better than nothing. I'm looking forward to global warming this weekend when we should get above freezing.

Agreed. its about extreme weather, for both hot and cold weather. Surely, some within the GOP base, understand this. They could not all be that ignorant, could they? I don't understand how they have become so wrong-headed, since Ronnie Reagan was conservative, but not mean or borderline crazy. He did many deals with Tip. Oneil, a democrat speaker of he house. Its so confusing to hear them rant about other myths; like President, much reduced Deficit, and healthcare. Don't they know above strange beliefs and mean behavior are about 80% of why they keep loosing national elections. Hopefully their informed base, many very, very smart will begin to speak-up more.

Christie was the only strong GOP hopeful that might make it into the 2016 general election, and the only one that had democrats nervous.

WD welcome to the DemocraticHub I welcome your views.

Right about Reagan even though I was not a big fan of everything he did he was willing to work with the other side which is a trait sorely lacking on both sides these days.

Question: Why do you say ..."non-existent Deficit"... Do you think there is not a deficit? Do you not think that the deficit and the national debt at over 17 trillion is a serious issue? That's about $55,000 per person, by the way, and it's getting larger every day.

The interest on the debt, JUST THE INTEREST, cost the US about $220 Billion in 2012. I consider that a big deal, don't you? That $220 Billion could have been used to actually benefit Americans, don't you think? $220,000,000,000!

Good points about over spending and more. I agree with several points and they are BIG numbers; Almost big as those pres. inherited as follows:
    .
But everything is relative, when the pres. took the reins from George, the deficit was in the Trllions, not billions and the economy was sliding off into a deep black hole, which the president and Congress finally got a handle on later.

Then Pres turned around and the auto industry, and GM came back roaring and is now either #1 or #2 in national auto sales.
-- But Most of the GOP said -- just let them go bankrupt.

Then in 2013 the GOP House decided they'd kill healthcare by shutting down the Gov at an est cost of $24 Billion, a good size number that could more than pay for U.I. for 1.3 million people that lost their Unemployment Insurance on 12/28/13. pretty big number also, don't you think?

I am increasingly becoming a believer that we really need to think seriously about revamping our entire political & Voting system to accomplish:

    1) Removing big money from system (1 person, 1 vote, and no corporations, they are not people):/they don't breath or take ill
    2) A National voter registry maintained by the feds, which allows every U.S. citizen to vote.
    3) Restore Voting Rights Act/sec-5; and enable a more pure and fair democractic process;

Opps -- got to get back to work
