Why wouldn't I, between my employer and my self, health insurance gets nearly $1200 each month. With Obama Care, I should be able to get better benefits for a fraction of my health insurance cost now. I can gain $4 per hour after my health care is paid and my employer will be spending less, who wouldn't take a $4 raise, oh yes, an evolved non eye who claims Obama Care sucks.

I guess you did not get sick yet; so do not count your blessings yet; hope you saved enough for the co-pay !!!

My co pay is 4k now, lucky I haven't been sick for sure, I can not see Obama Care costing more for a co pay, 4k is a crock of crap considering how much is paid to my insurance each month, I haven't spent one months payment on health care in the last thirty years.

Good luck signing up for Obamacare! It has been absolute Nightmare these past 2 weeks for me in Nevada. The website is super slow. It takes 2 min. to acknowlege an input before you can click on something else. I've spent hours and hours. The provider list is all incorrect. I had to call my Dr.'s to figure out which exchanges they are on. When I finally got to the payment part, the summary gave the wrong amount! It wouldn't let me go back to adjust it. Lots of error responses or "system offline." I called the phone number given for 2 days straight. Busy Signal! I called early this morning and actually got through......I was on hold for 2 HOURS! The rep. told me there was nothing she could do. I had to pay the incorrect amount. Nothing could be altered!! Until next October! I hate Obamacare.

All I know about Obama Care is what I saw on the systems media, saying it was working better. After hearing the stories of Obama Care from out side the systems media, from majority members, I am getting different info, thus the systems media, never telling the truth the majority needs to know. Maybe this Obama Care site is a joke as the GOP says it is, not saying the GOP isn't doing all they can hacking the site and are most likely the reason the site is a joke. It is clear, the frustration from the majority caused by this web site is bringing President Obama's approval rating down, looks like hacking his site was worth it for the GOP, but once again, at the expense of the majority who can't get insurance and have been more than frustrated in trying to do so. The GOP saw a chance to screw the president they can not stand and the majority all at the same time, they must be bathing in victory, first time since President Obama got elected six years ago?

I'm reading more encouraging stories in the "Letters" to the editor of the Kansas City Star on the Affordable Care Act. It is successful to many as the ACA continues to evolve. In Sundays paper, a person finally enrolled, is self-employed and had been paying $200/month with a plan of $5000 deductible. He writes staring January 1, he will be paying $90/month with a $250 deductible and he is over 50 years of age. Although he will be unable to deduct premiums on his taxes because he used the tax credit upfront, he says it will work out to $4000 savings for the year. He finishes the letter with a Thank you, President Obama.

I believe there are some that just don't try hard enough or try at all to better themselves. Maybe they do fall into some loophole that needs to be fixed, but the ACA is a solution and it will evolve into a better program if Congress would only work together. The problem is politicians that hammer Obama because they are still in the "one term Obama mode". Nothing else matters to those politicians even at the expense of the American people. Those politicians need to go. What's wrong with the novel idea of "Working together for a better America"?

For the people by the people right? Not, not since all our politicians have been bought and paid for by the system through legal bribes, lobby money. For sure it is far time for the majority to work together to better our selves since the system only cares about the system, not the majority.

I have a friend in Massachusetts who just found out that instead of having to pay $137 a month for her insurance it will be free next year! Same coverage and policy, just no charge.

pgr you say ..."it will be free next year!"... Well, good for her...EXCEPT: there's no such thing as free health care. Sad, but true.

It will not be free, because she may not have to pay for it but someone will. Free healthcare doesn't exist, the cost will be borne by someone and it will probably be the American taxpayers.

The big money stream for Obamacare was supposed to be the young, healthy people who sign up and indications are that they are not signing up in nearly enough numbers. Too early to tell and in another 3 weeks we will know more. Many young people have chosen to "OPT OUT" which seems to be a big movement, and who can blame them?

Meanwhile in Obamacare fantasyland, I hear that they extended the deadline for some people again. Second time this week, I think, maybe the third, who can keep up? How many times has this "law" been changed, extended, waived, exempted...etc??? And it hasn't even officially begun yet!

first of all I wish everyone a merry Christmas, a day to enjoy your family and friends good times and laughter. recently applied to health.gov. gave necessary info , which is incorrect and don't know how to fix, and tried to talk to someone on-line, no luck, left messages for call backs, no luck.
    don't know what to do

Well she is a taxpayer. How about no extra charge to her?

What do you expect to happen with Obamacare? Of course they have to tweak it and will do whatever is necessary! If they didn't they would look like bigger fools than they do now.

I never said it was a great law, only better than nothing and if the Rebubs didn't do everything they could to kill it then it most likely would have been improved and tweaked from the beginning.

Personally I'm all for "free, no deductible, no co-payment" health care for all (Medicare) but it's not its time yet, unfortunately!

pgr Merry Christmas to you and to everyone! Or if you prefer, Happy Festivus!

I think we are both for a single payer system. This disaster known as Obamacare or the Unaffordable Care Act is nothing like single payer. The problems are too numerous to list but keeping the insurance companies in the game to "compete" for our business, well we both know that is just a scam, a system to let them to continue to screw us, they will make even more money than before. Honest taxpaying citizens will be screwed even more than before. Big healthcare and big pharma OWN too much of our government, and THAT is the root of the problem.

"Medical costs will go down for everyone"...What a Crock!

I don't know if it is possible for them to ..."look like bigger fools than they do now"... How could they look like bigger fools? Give another 3 or 4 extensions or waivers this week?

It won't be long until we find out how great, or how bad Obamacare really is. Unless someone has some magic fairy dust to pay for it, there's no such thing as "free healthcare". I laugh every time I hear someone say that term.

No you got to get the aluminum pole! To celebrate Festivus the correct way the pole is an absolute necessity.

Then, the "airing of grievances" can begin. I have a lot of problems with you people!

And in Obamacare news, this morning they are announcing a "partial" or "soft" extension (whatever THAT means) to the deadline to sign up. Of course they are! It's been two whole days since the last change! What took them so long?

Anybody want to bet on how many more changes before the end of the year?
