    Hello All,

I have been away from this site for far too long, but I am glad I am back. I was using Huffington Post for quite awhile and then suddenly, Tim McDonald, of HP initiated their new anti-anonymity policy and I could no longer sign into my HP account, even though I was using my real name. This new policy requires that you use your real name, but must be verified with your Facebook account. I don't have a Facebook account. I do not like FB...and will never use it. It is very sad, indeed, that HP went this route. I truly hope that many of their users leave there and seek out a new site to vent, suggest, discuss, etc...points of views and offer and receive opinions. I hope that any HP user on here, agrees with me. Why should I have to make a FB account just to use the HP site, which I enjoyed? From what I understand, many have already left there and I think this will just a deterrent. Perhaps it is a political move...as HP, from what I understand, is asking for your " friends list" from you FB page. Another issue was the fact that they stated if you already have an HP account, you would be grandfathered in. That obviously was not the case. Or should I say a big fat lie stated by HP. I tried contacting them, but their "help and support" area was jammed. And I can guess as to why. So, I finally was able to send them a message and stated my frustration and disappointment with them and requested to have my account there deleted. I guess they do not understand or can accept that there are millions of us that do not use FB and do not want to use FB.
Thanks for your time and listening.

My nest rant will be about the new " improved" MSNBC page. In particular about one of their anchors who has stated that on her show, they actually read their emails. They may read them but it would be nice to get some kind of response that they have. Even and automated one.

Take care all and Merry Christmas. ( Hope those at Fox news reads this.)

I do try and read the HufPo every day but it has become extremely difficult to navigate it on my iPad. I've never tried to post there and don't (and never will) have a FB account. I hate FaceBook! I just can't understand how or why people put the personal things on there they do (my kids especially)! Google is bad enough, maybe worse for that matter but at least you don't have to willing give them all your personal data (they just steal it without your knowledge).

    Quincy --

Welcome back to the Democratic Hub. As one who has posted comments or sent e-mails to TV pundits and my Congressmen, I have never gotten a reply back except the standard automated reply that promises to get back to me in a few weeks. They never do...especially my Representative Doug Lamborn. I must be on his blacklist although I am always respectful and courteous.

My problem with the Huffington Post is that they often sensationalize the headlines of stories, and reading the underlying articles I cannot see how their header fits.

Browsing this website, you'll find a diversity of opinions on a range of topics. I am probably the biggest "defender of Obama" except in the case of military and war. My biggest passion, however, is the inequality of opportunity, and I support President Obama in his difficult efforts to change public opinion on spending on social needs. Republicans "war on the poor" right now seems to have the upper hand...and their related phony rhetoric on deficits and debt that even has Democrats echoing their fear mongering words.

Thanks for your welcome. I appreciate it. I used to enjoy being on this site more frequently, but I left in pursuit of other venues. I should have stayed around on here.

As for HP....I unattached it from my AOL account, so now they make it even more difficult for me to read articles on there. I guess they only want those with FB accounts to sign up and use the HP site. This makes them bigoted and hypocrites in my opinion. For they are purposely alienating those that do not agree with their policies. Much like the GOP does. I won't go as far as to compare them to certain, communistic and other political parties of past history, but they are leaning toward that.

I plan to continue my quest to speak out against them and hopefully anyone that reads these posts, that are subscribe to HP, will assist me in pulling as many away from that site as possible until they change their policies of obvious censorship and keeping those silent that do not adhere to their overly strict rules. So much for free press and freedom of speech on HP. They do not believe in it.
