The White House announced on 6/22/12 that first lady Michelle Obama will be leading the U.S. delegation at the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics. Conservative bloggers have accused Michelle Obama of hijacking the Olympics and trying to 'mooch' publicity. First ladies have been leading the delegation for 20 years. Laura Bush did it in 2004 and Hillary Clinton in 1994. It is becoming a tradition.
