Don Dwyer, a Republican Maryland Delegate recently pleaded guilty to drunken boating after he caused an accident that injured seven people, including the lawmaker and a young child. Mr. Dwyer was operating the boat when it collided with another boat, causing the collision. His blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit when authorities arrived and detained him. He has appealed the judge's sentence of 30 days in jail and a $1,000 fine and has a hearing scheduled for October 25th.
