If you ever needed proof that the Conservative Media is on a never ending witch hunt, here it is. Breitbart News editor-at-large Ben Shapiro reported a couple of weeks ago that Chuck Hagel, nominee for Secretary of Defense, received foreign funding from a group called "Friends of Hamas." This could have been something that might have derailed Mr. Hagel's confirmation, but the only problem is that the story is utterly false.
It seems that a whole host of conservative media outlets are just out there to make money off of the small man. According to Rick Perlstein, who writes for The Baffler, a large majority of conservative mailing lists are sold to the highest bidder. These email addresses are not only sold to other conservative organizations, but to shady organizations and get rich quick schemes.
