2009 Eastern Conference Finals Game, Cleveland vs OrlandoBy: Chris Metcalf
The Cleveland Cavaliers won the first round pick in the 2014 NBA draft lottery. That may sound familiar as they won it last year too. And in 2011 as well. That's right. The Cavs have been awarded the first round pick the last 3 of 4 years in the lottery; Cleveland has been very lucky indeed. Unless you consider that a team has to statistically be one of the worst in the NBA to qualify for the drawing. And year in, year out for the last half decade, the Cavaliers have certainly qualified in that regard. Still, luck is luck, and it's certainly on Cleveland's side.

The two big names out there would both help the rebuilding team's roster tremendously, and immediately. Andrew Wiggins is widely spectulated to go #1 in the draft. But Joel Embiid is no slouch either; he could just as easily be picked first. I think in Cleveland's case, they will go for Wiggins. But, you never know until it's official.

The Cavaliers had a 1.7% chance of winning the first round pick again this year. The Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers, winners of the second and third round picks respectively, are certainly not thrilled with Cleveland's continued hot streak. Rest assured though, both teams will still certainly land a talent that will help them beef up their squads too, as no doubt both teams could use it.

This upcoming NBA draft has at least a dozen promising all-star capable talents in the mix to be picked. So, while Cleveland may be the luckiest, you never know who will land the player that truly does make history and turns it all around for their new franchise. Or allows the juggernauts to remain juggernauts. Here is the full order of how the first round will be picked in the 2014 NBA Draft:
