Andi Dorfman eliminated herself from last night's episode of 'The Bachelor'. After spending a night in the fantasy suite with Juan Pablo, she immediately regretted the night and felt it was a complete disaster.
“Waking up this morning I could not wait to get out of the fantasy suite
,” she told
the camera crew the next morning. “It turned into a nightmare. I saw a side to him that I didn’t really like and the whole night was a disaster.
Juan Pablo was his usual aloof self, thinking the night was great. Here was his post night response:
“We laughed for hours
,” he said. “We get along very well
So, what went wrong? Why did Andi spend the night with Juan Pablo, where they clearly had an intimate night together (off camera), and then instantly regret it and eliminate herself before the rose ceremony? Well, it seems that it's mostly due to Andi realizing that Juan Pablo is a bit of a self-centered moron.
She was expecting the more she got to know him, more layers would be exposed. However, the longer she stuck around, she slowly but surely came to the conclusion that Juan Pablo is not "deep". They never seemed to have any conversations past the point of the superficial, or sweet talk.
“Not once did he really ask anything about me,
” Andi said. “He didn’t care about who I was or what I want in life.
Before Andi left the show, she did sit down with Juan Pablo and tried to confront/talk to him about her feelings. She quickly became irritated with his over-use of the phrase, "It's okay." That was the last straw. The conversation didn't last long.
“It shouldn’t just be ‘okay'
,’” she said. “It’s not okay. When you say that, it bothers me. You saying that comes off as you not having feelings
Seems like the show is setting up Andi Dorfman to become the next 'Bachelorette'. She has great camera presence, and she is not an idiot, like Juan Pablo. ABC and the audience have grown very tired of Juan Pablo's shallow personality and misogynistic tendencies, along with his self-centered, simpleton like attitude toward everything. Andi seems the exact opposite. Complicated. Smart; she's an attorney. And of course, very attractive. Andi should succeed in all the areas where Juan Pablo failed. It's clear why she left the show. Wouldn't be a bit surprised to see her in a few weeks, on the season finale of 'The Bachelor', being announced as ABC's next 'The Bachelorette".
