Waterboarding is Torture, Ineffective & Should be Prosecuted

Many Republicans continue to defend waterboading for various reasons such as calling it enhanced interrogation instead of torture, justifying its use by claiming it was effective in saving American lives and by creating layers of legal protection to distort the legality of its use. This argument will prove the following points:

Waterboarding is torture and has been defined as such for some time

Waterboarding is an ineffective and unreliable interrogation technique

Waterboarding has been prosecuted in the past and exceptions should not be made for the present or future
