Krystal Ball said a short while ago on the Martin Bashir program that she has started a BoycottRush.org website and petition for people to sign that is directed at those companies that advertize on his program to stop supporting him. Due to heavy traffic you can't get in at the moment, but the list includes the following companies:

    ProFlowers
    eHarmony
    Carbonite
    Oreck
    AutoZone
    LegalZoom
    Citrix
    LendingTree
    Sears
    Quicken Loans
    Century21
    Dominos
    TaxResolution
    LifeLock

I'll get a better link later.

PS -- This list has expanded with several removed.  See the link a few posts below.

This link is a bit slow, but it gets you there.

The list of advertisers is being crossed off as companies have pulled their ads.

Take a look.

Schmidt:

The Chicago Tribune this morning included a link posted by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee that allows people to sign a petition to denounce Rush Limbaugh:

http://www.dscc.org/act4?action_KEY=395&track=SEM_GC_Limbaugh-C_Rush_www.ch...

One of my female friends "tweeted it" to 2600 of her followers. Assuming that a lot of them
pass it on as well, this thing will quickly become a monster, and a HUGE headache for
the Republican Party.

I'm checking on local advertisers for WTAG that airs Mr Limbaugh to express my outrage that they sponsor his show.  I have a question.  I believe I saw another conservative pundit on a FOX show also using vile and mean comments about Ms Fluke.  Does anyone recall this?  Maybe I'm just seeing these ugly, "family values", conservative men everywhere!!

A Dad with two daughters...

Here is a link to an up-to-date list on the Limbaugh advertisers and those abandoning his show.

Progress is being made.

Media Matters reports that "at least 45 advertisers have reportedly dropped their ads from Rush Limbaugh's radio show in the wake of his misogynistic attacks on Sandra Fluke."

Media Matters is continuing to monitor ads on Rush's show. Several of the ads that are still running appear to be free public service announcements (freebees) distributed by the Ad Council.

"The Ad Council distributes public service announcements "to the media who donate free time and space to our campaigns which ensures our messages reach the American public.""

Update by the Daily Kos reporting on Thursday, March 8th:

A total of 86 ads aired during WABC's broadcast of The Rush Limbaugh Show today

77 of those ads were public service announcements donated free of charge by the Ad Council

Of the nine paid spots that ran, seven were from companies that have said they have taken steps to ensure their ads no longer air during the program

WABC's online feed included about 5:33 of dead air when ads would normally have run.

The dead air time hurts even more.

The first 20 or so advertisers listed by MSNBc  that had cancelled Rush's show included the GIRL SCOUTS.  Can anyone tell me why on God's green earth the Girl Scouts would have EVER advertised on this potty mouth's show?????
