A few days ago, I stumbled on the ad posted below, which advocated signing the "firearms Sovereignty Survey". Although it relates to gun control, it's a broader topic than the discussion of HB2471, so it made sense to start a new thread:
http://www.nagr.org/UN_lp_survey2.aspx
The author was a man named Rand Paul, who I really wasn't familiar with. He was elected as the junior senator from Kentucky during the Tea Party siege in 2010. Coincidentally,. his dad is Ron Paul, who currently is running for President.
Mr. Paul and his dad apparently are against ANY type of gun control. although a total ban on weapons worldwide would also be silly, and ineffective, having at least some type of worldwide control on weapons seems very logical to me.
The United Nations has been working on a universal agreement for at least the last five years. details on the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs can be found at the link below:

Once the U.N. finally came to an agreement on how to control the things that kill people, there would be much less chance of occurrences like "Operation Fast and Furious":

By the way, if you know anyone who lives in Kentucky, GET MR. RAND PAUL DEFEATED out of office as soon as you can !!
